I have a panasonic 42" tv that I bought from JL 4 years and 11 months ago wink Recently a green vertical line appeared, it also disappeared too and reappeared and then disappeared.

Anyway the service guys said they will fix it for me but I am hesitant as it's an fault which can't be checked immediately to see if the service centre actually did fix it or not. My concern is they do nothing and after the 5 year warranty expires the fault reappears.

Anyway, will have to just wait and see what happens.

Direct the question at JL/Panasonic, they would know?

John Lewis are quite good, so if it's a problem which has re-occurred then they are likely to fix it for you. This of course is an assumption and not an assurance, but I would be very surprised if John Lewis stiffed you.

JL contract out their repairs, it will go to a repairer who will give JL a price for repair, JL will either accept it and you get your TV fixed or they will decline it and you get a new TV.

I would imagine any repair would also be guaranteed - probably for 90 days.
