Additional plasma - new or used ?

We bought a 427XD Pioneer 42 inch a couple of years ago. It really is stunning.
At the time we fancied the 50 inch, but given how much we paid for the 42inch with extras we felt that was enough. We soon settled into the smaller set and have always wished we had gone all out.
We now fancy putting the 42 in the bedroom (post digi-switchover the other week) and getting a larger set for downstairs. But what ?
Would people buy a 55 inch VT30, a 55 inch Sony (LED), even a 55 inch Sammy LED - or source a really nice used Pioneer - 50 inch or even a 60 inch Kuro ? (Fleabay ? - Up to £2k ?)

We looked at the VT20 65inch last year. Decided it was just too big really - although I'm sure we might get used to it. I sit 9 / 10 feet away. Mrs Mercs is usually at 5 feet, with her nose in her laptop.
A 55 inch is perfect - 60 would be pushing it, but I'm sure it would be good in a Kuro.
