Cheers. They have one left at my local Richer Sounds at £59, they are £99 in Argos, £79 in John Lewis.

Another question: Will using this with a blu ray disc on my G30 really blow me away compared to my current set up of old DVD player playing a normal DVD up-scaling to 1080p?

Depending on the film (and Blu-Ray transfer), yes.

Sony S570. Has Wifi and Ethernet so you can connect to the internet and access i-Player, 4OD etc

With regards to difference between DVD and Blu-Ray, the biggest difference I noticed was between the audio. True HD audio on the Blu-Ray is a massive step up over DVD. Depends whether are using a dedicated AV receiver and speakers though.

Can they upscale to 1080p from a DVD now? I remember my first Hd tv, and it upscaled to 720p. Was very impressed at the time.

Cheers all. Bought the Panny 75 and quickly dashed into HMV (Normally buy on-line) and grabbed a copy of Fair Game with Naomi Watts seeing as I had never seen it before.

Stuck it on and boy! it is a definite jump in quality, almost too clear. Normal DVDs play with a bit of fuzziness around the edges, in fact I don't think they look as good as when they are played on the old DVD player with up-scaling set to 1080p.

I have set the Blu-Ray player to up-scale to 1080p btw but maybe its having it on 24fps that causes the fuzziness. I don't know.

Any ideas cheerfully received.

Have just ordered Appleseed, Ex-Machina and Time Cop on Blu-Ray and may have to go for the Star Wars Box Set.
