I'm not from Southend,I use the A127 a lot in my truck.Thought i would just point out that the A127 has average speed/traffic light/static speed cameras,so if you are running late be careful

Errr I would chance the M25 as the 406 might be congested with 2012 games traffic. Although the 25 will just be congested with traffic .whistle

UPDATED. Wheather is meant to be dryer as the day goes on, late afternoon dry and evening dry.

This will be a great tribute for James as he loved all the TVR cars.He was only 16 when he lost his life in a motobike accident in Southend in August 2006.This will be a great night down the seafront as there always a great car gathering every Saturday. This event has never been at Southend before.

Can someone get this in the sprint for us please.

Think I had better set off now - AA routefinder says 2 hours 18 minutes for 107 miles, but we are in mid-thunderstorm, and I have dry weather tyres on! I think a slow ride rather than having to wear the brown trousers.....

Well what a disaster was that was for me! RAC turned up in 20 mins, which was good. Quick diagnosis suggested might be the battery on the way out. Looks like when the guys gave me a jump start using the borrowed Anderson connectors (thanks for then lend), probably wasn't getting a very good connection. RAC man took the wheel off and connected his booster direct to the battery, and started.
Anyway, he followed me home and did more tests and battery is knackered.

I hope you guys had a good evening, with hopefully no more 'issues'

Cheers. Ian.

Glad you got going again.
Great evening, good to meet everyone. The stop on the seafront certainly attracted some attention! Hope someone is able to post some pics.
Thanks for organising Colin and to PR Wood for sponsoring.
Look forward to doing it again next year

15% failure rate - is that standard for TVRs? 3 out of 20 with problems
I couldn't get reverse gear.
Monseiur Poxon died a death on the way into Sarfend.
laserTam died a death about 200 metres later.

Fantastic evening - pics will follow in about two minutes
