Sat August 9th, Peak District Run. PART 2
Discussion
Thanks to everyone who turned out in such awful weather conditions for the 1st Peak District Run in May. I have had alot of interest to do this run again from those who went and enjoyed it. And from the ones who could not make it.
We plan to do exactly the same route through some of the most scenic parts of the Peak District. The start point is Parkhead Hall, Ecclesall Rd South, Whirlow, Sheffield, S119PX. Meeting at 10am - 10:15 starting the run at 10:30
We have our own private parking arranged to display the cars at the lovely Pavillion Gardens in Buxton. And this will be the lunch stop. Saturday the 9th was the only weekend day they had left in August.
We plan to end the run a little sooner this time, possibly in the Bakewell area. Please email me at kevtownsend2000@yahoo.co.uk if you need a route map.
Regards
Kev

Great news - I've got it in the diary so see you there for the run part II - here's hoping for better weather (not that it stopped us last time..!).
I might be in the minority here - but anychance of keeping the lunch to 60 mins rather than 90? That way we get do spend more time driving, and it's a slightly earlier finish for those that need to get off (distance, family commitments etc), perhaps with the end venue at another pub with carpark so that those that want to hang about and have a drink can do?

Some more route maps gone out today. The start and run to Buxton will be exactly the same as May. The afternoon route will be a little shorter missing out Ashbourne but adding in the amazing Alpine Hill near the Packhourse Inn at Crowdecote. Those who went on the Parsley Hay Circuit run will know what a great road this is. We will still include Matlock, Bakewell and finish the day at the Monsal Head Pub.
