Man V Food on Dave
Discussion
Have you seen this? No wonder our American freinds are, ahem, obese. On tonights episode they are at a BBQ that a local fellow puts on for the police and firefighters in the area.
Each service man gets a whole chicken, a rack of beef, a huge turkey leg, 6 sausages and more! I think the idea is whatever they don't eat they give to people more needy, not quite sure of the logistics of that.
Then next the host, who appears to be quite large but not what i'd call huge, is about to get stuck into a burger. Not just any old burger, but a quadruple 'hub cap' burger as the place thar sells it has named it. The size of the burgers are huge, hence the term 'hub cap'.
Amazing, and as i said, i'm really not suprised that the US has a high obesity rate.

What a horrible sight, watching him do the 'shut up' juice sandwich!
for your own sanity, don't go on the 'dirty takeaway' thread!man v food is great and i'd love a crack at some of the challenges. the good thing about the show is the showcase of some of the food on offer there. proper bbq food is a big weakness of mine, and episodes like the one showing the open wood burning bbq pit have me drooling.
should be more stuff like the shut up challenge in the uk.
I thought that but then he's not huge so maybe he eats very healthily other times?
What about that champion eater he met, Joey Chestnut he's not big either, he prepares for 3 days before. Maybe Adam fasts too before recording?
Here he is (later) on the Burritozilla challenge episode - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ib_2-qdFhk

I guessed he probably does a lot of exercise, Wikipedia says; To maintain his health while indulging for his show on Travel Channel's Man v. Food (which he began hosting in 2008) Richman exercises twice a day while he is on the road. When the schedule permits, he does not eat the day before a challenge and he tries to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water or club soda and forgoing coffee or soft drinks. What about that champion eater he met, Joey Chestnut he's not big either, he prepares for 3 days before.
