I will. I'm a bit surprised this seems to have gone under the radar, or maybe I just watch the wrong channels.

Not to turn the thread into a perv fest but I was watching the "top voted" X-Files re-run on 5 last night and is it me or does Gillian Anderson look better now than she did 20 years ago?!

You must have been watching the wrong channels as adverts for it have been plastered all over Ch5, 5 USA and 5*! I watched four episodes of the original few series last night on 5* and the damned advert for the new series was on every bleedin' break! Looking forward to watching it, although on Ch5+1 as its NCIS on 5 USA, then X Files and Gotham afterwards.

Think I may have missed too much - I never realised they got together and had a child!

The third episode is an absolute cracker ... the first two are just plain brilliant to watch.

I enjoyed it, the new world order reveal was horribly plausible, made me want to clear the £8.50 out of my PO account tout suite.

Yes I missed that too, thought it was just me.
Glad to see the prog going back to its roots re aliens. Got a bit fed up with the obscurity of the later stuff in the old series.

Has anyone else seen episodes 4 and 5 and been a little disappointed? The first three were good but it seems to have gone downhill rapidly.

Yup. I'm watching it again on Amazon Prime (seasons 1-9) and I can't believe how much of it I've forgotten. Great to be watching it again though.

Just caught a few minutes of this. Oh dear, not quite the X-Files of old; more like Scooby Doo, and not in a good way frown

If you've seen the US episodes you'll know it doesn't get any better.

I agree, the first couple were brilliant but WTF was that all about - X Files meets Carry On Screaming!!!!

Well that one was awful.

Last weeks was very good and almost back to how the X Files used to be. Then it goes back to tonights which was frankly awful.

Awwwww come on, they always had the odd tongue in cheek episode and I thought that was right up there in terms of those episodes.

That said I loved Murray in Flight of the Conchords so it was good to see him again.
