Sorry, your post said you hate the concept of Bat/Supes and you hated it in TDKR. This implied you hated the concept of Batman in that film - got the wrong end of the stick, apols.
No problems - I should have said Superman VS Batman...would have made more sense.

Casting will be the least of the problems with this film.

It'll be a mess. st idea.

I'm going to give it a chance personally. I think BA has come a long way as an actor and films like The Town and Argo make me think he could be OK.

It does seem like an odd choice though, and I'm not entirely convinced about the concept full stop...

Can't be more of a disappointment then Prometheus, surely?

Just heard about Affleck. I cannot believe it.

It should have been Damon.

This.

I'm not worried about Affleck - sure, he's had some snotters but then even the best of 'em have.
Let's give him a chance.

It's the concept that worries me more. It'll be hard to make it gritty, like Nolan's efforts but not over the top.

Lol in all honesty Batman and Robin was absolute pony of the highest order, however I also don't adhere to the belief that Nolan's version was gods gift to Batman, sure it had a lot going for it and a pleasing story arc but as soon as I saw his obsession with making it as realistic as possible, I just knew he was leading the character down a path that would lead to a dead end alley and also one that I personally didn't find very satisfactory.

Sure make it gritty as you like but he made the big mistake of ignoring the fact that Batman actually comes from a much wider, FANTASY DC universe.

Now I am going to sit back and love watching how the hell they are going to try to extricate themselves from that little hole.

Cards on the table, i'm a huge, almost obsessive batman fan and i think the nolan trilogy is as close to perfect as could ever dare be expected with such problematic characters. It pains me to say this, but marvel handle their material so much better than dc. They should have chased bale on this one or used someone else credible.

Using affleck is a big, big mistake. Also he has a pudgy face with a butt chin. That cowl is going to make him look backward.

Bale isn't stupid enough to get involved with this.

Some kind of prosthetic chin needed perhaps?

That's different. Affleck has a greater track record to look at. He's been fairly consistently awful in a lot of stuff. Also, nolan isnt steering this.

That was a ruddy good film though.

You could cast Fassbender in this, it'll still be crap.
