I think best series so far? Bob Mortimer and Sally Phillips also brilliant but can't remember who else was on with them. Although I still think the tasks in the first few series were better and more open.
Along with Bob and Sally were Aisling Beacloud9 , Mark Watson and Nish Kumar. Who can forget the challenge where they were blindfolded, given a slice of bread, had to walk for some time and then had to find their way back to the start line by following a line of dropped breadcrumbs. Except a Golden Retriever had scoffed all the bread Mark Watson had dropped. We cried with laughter.

This series has been the equal of that one.

Series 3 is still the high point for me. Al Murray, Dave Gorman, Paul Chowdhry, Rob Beckett and Sara Pascoe.

Series 5 Tarbuck,Howard Vine was the absolute lowest point!

James Acaster is on Richard Osman's House of Games this week, along with Rory Reid, Anne Diamond and Samantha Womack (Janus). Weekday evenings 6pm, 7pm on Friday because of Strictly It Takes Two.

What's happening to Sam Janus' face? Not just natural aging... I didn't recognise her at all, but then I don't think I've watched anything with her in since Game On.

Usual story of "female TV celebrity known for her looks tries unsuccessfully to combat the signs of ageing" , I suspect.

There is absolutely no reason to like this but we just never miss an episode or repeat on Dave it is the funniest thing on TV

Agreed, there isn't a true stand up comedian amongst that bunch and that normally spells disaster.

Getting a "Chaser" in will either be brilliant or terrible.

Hope to be proven wrong! thumbup

To be fair, Paul Sinha is a stand up comedian.

Just thinking what my dream line up would be out of those who haven't been on it yet, probably something like this:

Lee Mack
David Mitchell
Victoria Coren Mitchell
Rob Brydon
Steve Coogan

Out of those who have already been on it:

Bob Mortimer
Rhod Gilbert
James Acaster
Katherine Ryan
Rob Beckett

Anyone I've missed?

Is he? I take it back then, he could be the most entertaining contestant on there!

So glad this is back for another series, but it's the first lineup where I don't know any of them. That could be a good thing, if the producers have done their jobs properly.

"Never heard of them" comments are always interesting. I admit I've never watched a Love Island so have no idea who that guy is or what he's like. I'm vaguely aware of Lou Sanders as a stand up, but I don't think I've seen her, no idea what she's like. But Peter Kay Car Share, The Chase, The Inbetweeners (or Fresh Meat), seen those and knew who they were straight away.

Yes - very smart guy.. very dead pan - Richard Osman was great on TM and I think Sinha will be too, as will Sian (because she can bit a bit ditzy.. similar to Sally Phillips)

And, similar to Sally Phillips, we would, if we had the chance smile

David and Victoria on the same show could be amazing.
