Yeah it wasn't Gus and my memory for face isn't very good so I can't remember if it was the new guy or not.

Why was he watching Jessie though? To keep an eye on him like Walter when Gus first started working with him or to kill him for Gale?

I'm hoping that Gus is watching him with a mind to replace Victor with him, hopefully Mike is going to be sent in to "clean house" and get rid of all the fkheads that are inhabiting Jessie's house.

Hope that clear out includes Jessie, he is really annoying me now. He has spat on all the trust and goodwill someone in that industry could expect and could really bring the whole operation to a grinding halt simply through pure stupidity. If his head is gone because of what he has done or experienced then it is time for him to hang it up, or get hung up.

If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen...literally.

Gus has Walt where he wants him, scared and producing, not really in a position to be Jessie's guardian angel. If Jessie was eliminated, Walt would probably cry and throw stuff about the lab, but he is not in a position to do anything else. Keep cooking, bringing in the cash and building the safety net for the family, you know, his original plan before he had visions of being the gangster he clearly isn't.

Exactly.. I think that's what the Champagne point was all about... contract that to Jessie's flagrant disregard for subtle or low key and you've got a script smile

That's what I thought - the sensible approach of Walt vs the wrecklessness of Jessie.

I think it would be a better show without Jessie, now yes

I look at Jessie a little differently.

He has principles and will stick to them despite it maybe costing him his life.

He didn't want to work for someone who employs kids and regardless whether he would be killed for it, he wouldn't allow those who employed them to get away with it.

OK he's losing it a little on the killing of Gale but that is all fresh memories and will fade.

Walt is the idiot.

Buying a tiny little gun to free yourself from a large cartel, genius.

Trying to "turn" Gus' right hand man so that he could kill him, genius.

Walt's pleading for his life with Gus, showed Gus that he was a bh who could be intimidated, watch Jessie in the same scene, Jessie is heading for greatness and well deserved.

Jessie has a lot on his mind, he is responsible for this whole thing, remember without him Walt wouldn't have cooked gram one! Strictly speaking he is responsible for many deaths, one divorce and the shooting of a DEA agent.

Agreed. Without Jessie there would be no story execpt for an old man that used to have cancer turning up for work each day, scared of his boss and getting pushed about by his annoying wife. There is likely cool stuff coming from Hank too, but I reckon Walt will be the weak story this series.

You may well be right. With Jessie having passed the threshold for killing someone, and increasingly detaching himself from reality (his 'home' life), the scene may be set for him losing it and going postal on a few people himself (in the way that Walt did when saving Jessie from the dealers he tried to kill).

I can't believe that people think that Jessie is an unimportant component in this show. He is essential this just goes to show that he is still human and is having a hard time dealing with his actions. I think it was a critical mistake on Walt's part to bring Skyler into the loop she was ready to go to the authorities over a simple black eye. She is clearly the decision maker in the family and over rules Walt so I can see potential problems coming back to haunt them. Walt can actually trust Jessie which is huge as Jessie really is Walt's only ally. I think the notebook is going to blow open the entire lab and eventually lead to Gus's demise.

He is important to the scriptwriters and the storyline. As far as being a player in the lab or the narcotic industry as it stands now, he isn't.

It's his mentality that is grating, the sort of person you would want to distance yourself from if you ever encountered him. Simply put, he doesn't make for entertaining viewing.

How do we feel about this weeks episode?

Where do we think Jessie is going?

Will Skyler ever calm down!?

I don't think Walt will see Jessie for a while, but he wont be disappearing yet...

Jessie's really annoying me - and I always want him to come out badly. Weird for the supposed hero!

I wonder if Mike's just going to take Jessie to a condo or something and tell him to sort his head out

Jessie is, ultimately, the conscience of this show. He knows he's going to hell and he's trying to blank it out whereas the others think they are smart enough to get of this alive.

I think the show is brilliant but I do think this should be the last series and it should go out with a bang.

I imagine the end of the series will be Walt using the guy that Sol suggested (start new life)) and Jessie in a gutter.

Awww you love Jessie really!

I imagine that the series will end as you say but with one caveat, Jessie isn't in the gutter, he is the one man that stands in Walt's way from disappearing!

That reminded me of something I read about a long time ago. In occupied territories in WW2 someone was getting Jews out of the country. They'd pay and 'disappear'.

The Nazis caught wind of this as he seemed to be extremely effective at doing this and they couldn't figure out how. They broke down his door and ransacked the place. They found remains of 60+ people in his furnace.

Apologies if I'm missing something searingly obvious but I only skim read the thread (don't want to pick up any spoilers).

What's my best way of (legitimately) watching S3 over here?
