My daughter asked me to watch Damsel with her yesterday. Sort of fantasy with dragons starring Milly Bobby Brown. What a steaming turd of a film. Just ridiculous beyond belief. Only good if you are looking to play girl boss bingo.

2/10.

Spy type story with twists and turns. 6 episodes I think so builds and buillds. It was good. 8 out of 10.
Just watched episode 1, great so far.
Is that this one?

Thanks
That's the one.
Watched them all now, not bad and glad they didn't try and drag it out for a longer series.
Thanks

Meh. Long. Variable character building. Been done before. And better. George giving a good show though....

Fat Friends

Presumably where all the Gavin And Stacey cast met and decided to create that show, it’s a shame we seldom make hard hitting comedy drams like this anymore.

Forgot how old this is until I saw Smithy (Cordon) - Hes still in school!!

Quite a good watch though, and probably more relevant now.

The Guest

Lady Marys ex squeeze buffs up and plays opposite to the low budget Jennifer Connolly.

Leave your brain behind whilst you watch it and it's a decent film.

Finished The Gentleman last night.

Very good series and I hope they make a second. Although you have to ignore the fact that some characters swing from being better informed than the CIA to only doing cursory background checks...

Special mention to Pearce Quigley. His character could not have been more different to the one he played in Detectorists but he was amazing as the scouse gangster.

I think he was in Channel 4's teachers before that if I remember rightly.

watched Taboo for first time ,

lots of good characters noted Ridley Scott was a producer , Tom Hardy's performance reminded me of a Young menacing Oliver Reed very similar in voice

Excellent series, thoroughly enjoyed it all.

There was talk of season 2 going into production last year but I can't find anything new or concrete on it so not sure if it happened?

Logan Lucky

It's a film. I'd give it a firm 8 or maybe even 9 out of 10.

It's been 'close to production' for a while, the last I heard was they were trying to find a gap in Tom Hardy's schedule to fit it in and get it done, but he's a busy guy and they can't get everything lined up at the same time. That was a long while back though.

I've been watching it and think it's OK. But........... since we're on a car forum - when test driving the McLaren 650 : "The clutch is quite tricky and takes some getting used to".

THERE'S NO F*****G CLUTCH PEDAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched Das Signal last night. Put the first episode on intending to watch one each night but ended up doing all 4 in one sitting. Quite moving at times and enough intrigue and mystery to keep me watching. A good take on the genre.

Just finished “The signal” only four episodes about an astronaut on the ISS, interesting twist at the end.
Just watched the first episode of this tonight, thought it was a good starter. Will watch the rest over the next couple of nights.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did, do tell when you finish it.
Just finished it, I really liked it, a bit different, thought it was going a bit wonky half way through the last episode but pulled it back with the twist at the end. Good length as well at 4 episodes, long enough to pull you in but short enough to hold your interest through out.
Certainly got a bit wonky, but excellent plot I thought especially for those who remember what it was at the end, glad you enjoyed it. beer
