Shocking violence (for TV anyway) in last nights episode. I'm intrigued though - cant wait to see how it unfurls. Who was becky ringing to say that Grant had the manuscript? Who is the person who said she is Jessica Hyde? Will Arbie turn against The Network in the end???

So glad I am watching this through the pvr so I can FF through the adverts as that many adverts in something this headfkey would make me loose the plot.

Please tell me I'm not the only one watching this purely to see the annoying welsh bint get shot in the face!

Caught up on this on 4oD last night. The opening scene was unbelievably brutal, I don't think they'd have shown it if Utopia had been scheduled for late last year.

I love the fact this series doesn't give too much away and makes you piece it together yourself.

I felt he was allowing her to live (with the fact that he 'didn't find' JH), due to feeling some kind of kinship with her over their fked up childhood. The endless killing seems to be hitting him finally, a bit like Kurgan.

Reminds me of Carnivale and the best of the US shows in that respect.

Is Jessica Hyde even a person? Or maybe it's the answer to the whole graphic novel - if you find the character in the drawings you have the solution to the whole thing???

hmm yes i did wonder why the killer was offering the kid them in an earlier ep, and now I kind of understand from the last one, when he's saying about the one comfort.

I hadn't thought of that. It's certainly possible, and would fit the style of the show.

Talking of style, I really like it. The attempt to make it look like a graphic novel, without artifitial digital enhancment (300 or Sin City), works for me.
