Has anyone else not been able to stop singing Mr Brightside for the last 2 weeks because of this programme?
Yep! But then it is such a damn fine song! Can't believe it's coming up for 10 years since Hot Fuss came out.
There was a post on Facebook about Hot Fuzz yesterday, it was being filmed exactly 10 years ago to do the day / week / month

Wow. Came out when I was in my second year at uni and was pretty the soundtrack of that year. I reckon it could be released today and still be huge, just hasn't dated. Anyway...back on topic!

I watched this last night - brilliant. Would hate to work there, but it makes for great tv. Highlights for me were Nev describing that woman as a man-eater, and the large chap (who sang well) as looking like the back of a bus. Oh and agreed with the comments about Ania biggrin

As an aside, I'm in a wedding band and Mr.Brightside is one of the most popular songs we cover. People of all ages just go mad for it. Has it really been ten years since Hot Fuss? I'm old.

My thoughts too. He doesn't create or build anything, he just annoys people. He refers to himself as Napoleon and throws things at his staff.

A bigger bell end I've yet to see on TV.
He doesn't create anything? he's created 700 odd jobs.

The thing i find strange is some staff are wearing smart trousers and shirts others wear jeans and t shirts.
Dress down Fridays. wink

The tea girl's attire changed from "receptionist smart" to "low grade hooker" during the first episode.

Still not sure whether Nev's management style is good or bad - it's great that he takes an interest in his staff, but some of those moments trying to set George up on a date were truly cringeworthy.

The advice on chat up lines was hilarious though - "Talk about car engines, they love that!".

Would you rather work for him or be unemployed?

I would rather work in a place that was much more relaxed and fun than most other depressing office atmosphere's...

Good on him for having this attitude I say, there is a lot more happy people in this place than others I see, especially in such a crap job where you get abuse and the phone put down on you all day. And it seems to be the ingredient to a succesfull company too.

mentioned bout them sharing data and got a dude saying why wouldn't they but:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-22946358

that's the problem if they don't screen those numbers now the TPS only act if mrs dontbothame contacts them and the TPS then check to see yea mrs dontbothame did register her number with them and if it was over a few weeks ago cos it takes time for the numbers to filter through so like if mrs dontbothame contacts them at beginning of april they will allow like 4 weeks for the number to become on the tps list.
These call centre dudes have it guys that should be downloading the numbers from tps to check against there systems. You don't get a big fine for a first offence either you gotta be on there TPS radar for awhile and be repeat offenders we have a mate who does the utilities big style and he told us of getting warning letters
So getting to the point these guys either didnt bother or were lacking and they got hit by the fine
Best thing you can do is never give ur number to places if possible but people do it all the time I saw these utility chuggers in bury doing great business by promising the world to the shoppers and people were signing up giving bank details out willy the nilly.

So lets see your financials, if you are so much better at creating jobs, profits, and tax dollars for the Govt.

Now I've only seen the advert clips and read some of the stuff on here...but how on earth is this guy employed still?

Surely he must be the HR departments worst nightmare...there are any number of things he could be sued for!
