I didn't think much off it. Captain on the ship I don't like him as an actor. Why did the monsters make transformer noises. Godzilla was way to porky. I fell asleep in the end fighting scene and woke up as save the day guy was floating away.
I'm normally easily pleased with monster scifi everything gets fked up movies.

Apologies Artoir, I was looking on the mobile site last night and it wasn't in spoiler tags. On a desktop now and I can see you did spoiler it.
That's unfortunate, I had actually posted from and was sure to preview on a mobile before submitting to make sure it was definitely hidden!stew-S160 said:
I watched this at the IMAX last night.
Was exactly what I expected. And I'm very happy about that.
It was more in line with the original series etc. Godzilla was awesome.
This. It's an actual Godzilla movie, not a 'Gaint lizard runs around jumping on buildings and making loads of little velociraptor /mini T-Rex babies whilst Ferris Bueler tries to correct everyone on how to say his new name' movie. Was exactly what I expected. And I'm very happy about that.

I've always been a fan of Godzilla and what he really is meant to be. I love how he reacts to us in those original movies. They get this spot on here. Loved it.
He is such an utter badass!
For me the king of monsters is back!
Just back from Godzilla, yes there are some weaknesses, but it is a Godzilla movie. The human characters were superfluous, quite frankly I didn't give two hoots about them, perhaps that's the point. The sound and visuals were amazing, some of the set pieces left me with my jaw on the floor.
I loved the Toho movies (Destroy All Monsters my favourite) and it felt true to the Toho period, with a few cheeky but subtle nods for those who might notice. Godzilla himself is pure power and the monster fight with the MUTOs something to truly saviour, perhaps because it was not 2 hours of just fighting it left me wanting so much more, I want a sequel and I want it NOW!

Too long and fekin boring. Even my kids didn't like it.
Very disappointed as I was looking forward to it. Same director as Monsters and that was s*** too.
Too many movies with big things smashing up cities, very clever visuals but such a yawn!
ETA How comes that good lucking couple have such an ugly kid. He looked like Tyrion from Game of Thrones.
