How do the Chasers achieve a world ranking? What's the basis for the accolade?

I saw a repeated episode yesterday ,only one contestant left for the final ,got 15 for the chaser to chase and got within 30 seconds

of winning.

Although Paul Sinha did say he took his time over answering.

Tonight's celebrity special was an old one. Michelle was as thick as mince. Why even go on if you're that daft?

She had a long think about what day of the week Easter is on and still got it wrong. laugh

Nice to look at though but yes I was amazed how much she struggled with easy questions. Apprentice winner too....

I watched Beat the Chasers late last night. I'm not too sure of the format. It's not as slick as the real show.

I didn't think most of the offers were fair at all. Although one woman won with her final game, what's the chances of 1 person beating 5 chasers with just a few seconds advantage? That would be embarrassing for the chasers to lose, but the chances of being that good, or lucky, must be tiny.

The woman that joked about Bradley's flirting was funny. She was right that he fancied her too.

On all week so we'll see how it goes. I quite like the fact it's not as slick, more relaxed and we see the banter between the chasers.

Sensible option seems to be about £20k with 20 seconds head start. A good quizzer should get home. I think the format is going to take time to find its feet - we're all so used to the usual programme which now runs so slickly.

I watched ,it was "okay " ,will keep with it as not much else on most nights.

Glad that one contestant won the cash.

Agreed, seemed OK, time will tell

The jokes seemed a little too pre-planned for me, but then s'pose that's scripted peak-time TV for you !

All you have to do is answer the questions. Tough yes, but doable.

Answering them right is the issue. laugh

As long as the Chasers don't trip each other up they should be getting 10+ questions right in one minute. Sometimes they are doing more than that on their own.

I would be surprised if the average on the normal show is more than 6 for contestants.

Ofcourse, the chasers now have the disadvantage of having to buzz in with the correct answer, unlike 'The Case' when there's more than 1 contestant in final.

Presumably, the chasers will get 'Wrong Person answer' if they answer when they didn't press the buzzer 1st biggrin

If you like quizes, record the new show, you can watch the question sections in less than 20mins, and, in that format, it's quite good smile
