Well, we don't quite know that, only that someone in a position in government is. Unless I wasn't watching closely enough, which is possible. This series may well come to a conclusion and then use some of the same characters in an entirely new storyline.droopsnoot said:

Exactly, the news that a second series might be commissioned is hardly a spoiler.
Enjoying it so far even if I'm not entirely sure what's going on. The only thing that bothers me is how quickly and easily Pine has become Roper's right hand man. I'd imagine a man who makes multiple hundreds of million dollar arms deals would be a bit more selective about choosing his most trusted staff and would have thought that the best Pine could have expected would have been a decent cash pay out for saving Roper's son.
Unless of course that's the twist and Roper knows about Pine and is setting him up for a big fall along with his girlfriend. For someone for whom information is everything he does seem to know very little about things close to home.
