Some Jay Leno content for those discussing the 18K Mini Cooper possibly being rebuilt using a new heritage shell:

Great vid, thanks for posting. I love JL’s stuff. And the paint job on that Mini is wonderful https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=FGr-I...

Who is Jay Leno?
He's a US Chat Show host who has made loads of money who has quite a collection of cars and can afford to get cars made for engines he has an interest in. Chose that link as it mentions UK link to where the engine came from and I think where his mother came from:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AKCnIO2QeM
Hi again from team Bangers,
I can confirm the worst kept secret ever (thanks to Derek's exclusive in CCW!) - there will be a second series of Bangers & Cash.
Clearly I am delighted, as are the team who work so hard on it and all at the TleD end.
I do thank you for all your comments & support - which has helped greatly in making this happen.
The audience figures were great, obviously good - but it is more than just that that gets these things across the line.
I have been forwarding your comments on to the good people who help make these decisions, and they fully understand and appreciate that the success of this show is down to it being as authentic and genuine as you can make a TV show. So thanks.
I will say when it's going to be on when I know exactly - but it will be next year, and in two seasons.
We've been filming for a while now - and some great cars keep coming in.
Things I have learned from series one, obviously apart from the pronunciation of Vanden Plasssss include that it doesn't pay to concentrate on the obvious "star" cars that we all want but will never afford. There is room for a some car envy, but it is a show about a passion for all motors. I have Derek saying "There is someone for everything" ringing in my ears. So Escort Bonus, Corvette or almost dead Lotus Sunbeam? Austin Heavy 12, P5 Rover or Yamaha FS 1E - whatever!
Keep the conversation going please.
Did I mention the Db6 in barn?

I've see the pictures of the Avon Sunbeam Lotus being collected and it's a toss up which one between it and the Mini Cooper was worse. That will be an interesting one to follow.
Really enjoyed the first series and looking forward to the next one especially if it sticks to the same format .

The only thing on it worth any money, was the VIN plate and log book.
So someone will build a replica with new parts, and put the plate on it.
We are following the mini up in S2, and the Moonstone Cosworth. So someone will build a replica with new parts, and put the plate on it.
I’m not going to entirely give ithe game away Fort Jefferson - but there is more to it than you suggest.
It shouldn't prove too difficult:
A rebuilt vehicle can keep its original registration number if you can prove you’ve used:
The original unmodified chassis or bodyshell (car or light van)
A new chassis or monocoque bodyshell of the same specification as the original (car or light van)
You must also have 2 other major components from the original vehicle from the following lists.
For cars or light vans:
Suspension (front and back)
Steering assembly
Axles (both)
Transmission
Engine

Briillant news
I assume the show has helped the business, which then helps the show
PS. more of Sarah please.. just love her accent
Thanks & yes - the summer auctions have been really busy, they always are but clearly the show has increased numbers. I do stick rigidly to the rule thar we follow the business though and reflect what happens rather than try and steer - which I can assure you would be absolutely impossible even if we tried!I assume the show has helped the business, which then helps the show

There will be plenty of Sarah trying to herd cats, now assisted by Jo and Lucy.

Great news, really enjoyed the series, interesting and the right balance of geeky/techy stuff while still being entertaining. Some interesting characters too, both buyers and auction staff.I can confirm the worst kept secret ever (thanks to Derek's exclusive in CCW!) - there will be a second series of Bangers & Cash.

I hope you can still slip in a few commercial vehicles too, I do like my trucks and vans!

I'm not into bikes, but the ones that are covered are interesting. It's not a constant procession of garage queens with the inside of the exhaust pipe polished to a mirror finish. Nor a never ending line of exotica. Nope, bikes, tractors, trucks, cars normal and special, bits and bobs, signs, bottles of oil.
One thing you mustn't miss though, call me a sentimental old fart, but don't miss the decent human interest stories, e.g. the transport firm owner who bought the tow truck that he used to take his girlfriend, now wife, out on dates years back, or the old bloke who'd had the Scarborough warning from his Mrs, no more cars, only to be unable to resist the Moggy pickup.
Also try and edit out any who play up to the cameras, you know what I mean.
