The start was more interesting than the rest.
I didn't expect there would be a market for buying designer used men's swimwear.![yuck](/inc/images/yuck.gif)
Made me feel all happy to see some con-artists/drug-dealers get their comeuppance and have their 'valued' possessions' sold off. Was also nice to see some of the victims getting a share of the monies back too. I didn't expect there would be a market for buying designer used men's swimwear.

I thought there was compelling evidence to back up the painting being genuine. What were the reasons that it wasn't, I must have missed that bit.
The 'experts' seemed to think the brushstrokes' weren't strong enough and that it was perhaps by an understudy, or some such.My feelings on the painting are much the same as yours - when first they appraised the painting (if I remember correctly) only one of them thought it a copy due to the walnut in the foreground. Strange then that it was shown that many of his paintings had walnuts in them, and that now all seemed to think it not worthy to be attributed to the artist.

Either worth £0.5m or up to £10m. There’s a lot to play for with this one.
As cool as the owner plays it, he must be on tenter hooks here.

Tenterhooks aren't the hooks used by butchers, as the common misspelling 'tenderhooks' might suggest. A tenter is a wooden frame, often in the form of a line of fencing, used to hang woollen or linen cloth to prevent it from shrinking as it dries
