As there are no clips anywhere (sensible), I'll just nominate all of the Brother from the same planet (Bigger Brothers) episode - a perfect slice of just how good it used to be.

Bigger Brother employee: And what are your reasons for wanting a little brother?
Homer's brain: Don't say revenge, don't say revenge!
Homer: Eh... revenge?
Homer's brain: That's it, I'm gettin' outta here!
[sounds of someone walking down stairs and slamming a door]

Pepi: Tell me more. I want to know ALL the constellations.
Homer: Well, that one's Jerry, the cowboy. And that big dipper-looking thing is Alan, the cowboy.

Especially love the bit where Homer & Bart have the discussion about Bart gallivanting with his Bigger Brother & ends up with Bart saying he was faking it when with Homer (on the swing). Kids can watch it & be happy and then adults can watch the same thing and see almost the real meaning behind the situation.
Oh and of course, the street fight. laugh

It is interesting to note that probably 90% of these favourite moments are from what I call the golden years of the simpsons, series 3-8.
