Wheeler Dealers 2014/2015 - New Series
Discussion
Did anyone else notice the Wheller Dealers Logo etched into the top mounts of the suspension? I wonder why they did that? If they wanted people to know it was a wheeler dealers car then surely a plaque in the car would be better, as it is it makes it seem like Wheeler Dealers designed/made the suspension only!

The one thing I would like to know, it took Edd a supposed 4 hours to remove the inlet manifold. Surely, as an air cooled engine it would've been easier and better to drop the engine to remove it and carry out the the serviceable items easier (assuming the car was serviced)
But its a DIY show they have previously shown taking the engine out is an option this time doing it in situ - I can imagine many DIY mechanics would think engine out is too much for them to do while a four hour knuckle grind is much easier. [quote=oobster]Also, I am sure the list of expenditure at the end listed either £840 or £940 for "Polishing and Paint" - what paint? They didn't paint anything, or at least didn't show that they had painted anything.quote]
I didn't see all of it but I would imagine that was for the detailer to come in and correct the whole car. That would probably have taken him a few days. It's a shame they didn't show more of that, we've all seen Edd swapping a tail pipe before. It would have been good to show people how much work and time goes into detailing a car properly.

While I enjoyed that episode, there must have been 5 minutes worth of catch-up over the course of the show. Annoying, despite being able to fast forward through it.
I'd have preferred to have seen how the rims were mended than being reminded of what I'd seen a few minutes back. The damage to the wheels look pretty bad.

This plus four ad breaks means there's only about 40 minutes of content!oobster said:
Strange that they showed the cutting off of the old exhaust tips and putting the new ones on, but didn't include any work on the terrible seats.
I noticed that, I did my own on my 944 for £60 with a kid, would be interesing to see it done.Still love WD but my new favourite is Fast and Loud, ok, its a bit showy but it is just the right blend of silly/entertaining, car progs have come on from the Hot Rod one with Boyd Coddington and that awful one where they pretend to nick it, Overhaulin, presented by two people who got the job for beign good looking, not knowing anything about cars, at least WD and F and L they are car people through and through.

Fess up who bought the 3200?
I test drove it with a mate and he made a good offerwhich was turned down. It still hadn't sold at the end of last week, I think they were getting desperate because they hadn't filmed the 'sell' for the show. Was way over priced for an 11 owner, 95,000+ mile car. There's some blinders coming up in the ads at the moment with nearly half the mileage and at least half that amount of owners. I would only assume that if they get what they're asking for it it will be by someone who wants a 'celebrity' car.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
