If we are being nerdy can anyone explain why Robb gave his vows to the Seven Gods at his Wedding when he is from the North and should of given them to the Old Gods?
Good point. Guessing it's because they are in the riverlands where the seven is the main religion and there just happened to be a septon handy.

R'hllor is the god in Volantis. Doubt they could find one of his priests around.

I'd ask GRRM but his normal answer is "a wizard did it" LOL

Just seen David Thewlis in London Boulevard. Reckon he'd make a good Mance Rayder.

the 7 gods are currently the state approved religion, Caitlin worshipped them, Ned preferred the old gods, I cant recall Robb ever specifying a preference?

I know the 7 are the approved ones but the majority of the North worship the old gods and I figured with Robb being The King of the North he would get married by them. It's a minor extremely nerdy niggle.

Anyone watch the GoT special, Grace Dent chats to GRR Martin?

They said he is currently the best selling author in the English language.

yes, he's had a rough few years.

Interestingly GRRM is the only one who pronounces JRRT's name correctly in that programme.
It was very nice to hear that he knows how the plot finishes and the fate of all the principle characters.
Means there are notes about if 'owt happens!

Apparently it will NOT be finished by another author if he dies. He was very friendly with the Wheel of Time guy and has stated he was not happy with the way it was dealt with and therfore if he dies it will not get finished!

Whether his beneficiaries of his estate will feel the same remains to be seen!

The last couple of Wheel of Time books were the best they have ever been since the first one!
So what Martin is saying is that he doesn't want a better writer finishing off his work and showing him up wink

Have to agree! Brandon Sanderson did a really good job of using Robert Jordan's notes and part-written parts and creating something that didn't jar when you read it.

Perhaps GRRM just doesn't like to dwell on his own mortality!

I would say they are the best since the first four. I think Jordan was the better writer but he just lost his way and needed focus or a good editor.

The same could describe GRRM in books 4 & 5 wink

And that's wk.

The Wire is good but a bit old.
If you want a smart powerful programme watch Braquo, it's my second favourite programme of this and last year.
