I'll be honest, I thought the first three episodes were a bit meh, but then wow. Great as usual. Much more tense than the first two. Great series yet again.

Mexico seems a bit redundant as they already have the El Chapo series. That guy they have playing El Chapo is good, they should have held off making that and had the Narcos people use him for a future series

Have been eyeing that - is El Chapo a similar docu-fiction style and as good?

It's all from el chapo's perspective and it could be seen as idolising him a bit, It's not bad if a little disjointed and the audio track seems mixed poorly at times, it feels cheap if you get what I mean?

Absolutely!

Frankly I watched the first two and it all seemed a bit pedestrian compared to series 1 & 2, soon ramped up though!

I've just realised I've only got about 30 mins left of it - I thought it was a 12 episode series. That's heart breaking!

On a related note I found that Bad Lip Reading have tackled Narcos. Worth a watch if you enjoyed the series (May contain spoilers)

Narcos hits the spot yet again. As others have said, whatever doubts that that it could hit the heights of series 1&2 were firmly dispelled. And there were some superb characters on offer too - Jorge Salcedo and Chepe Sanatcruz were standouts. The latter in particular was one of the most charismatic yet menacing individuals to hit the screen for a long time.

Series 4 could be epic. I suppose my only concern is how they deal with the absolutely out-of-control brutality that characterises the behaviour of the Mexican cartels. If they try and reflect reality, we're in for some horrific stuff.

I finished this the other night. I wasn't sure how it was going to play out, as the Escobar saga was a tough act to follow, but I think that this is the best series so far. The cast and the storyline were fantastic.

Apparently the real Salcedo was an advisor to help them get it right.

Very, very tense, particularly the finale - it wasn't something I could sit back and watch, I was on the edge of my seat!

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out, but series 3 is the new benchmark for me now.

Terrible news but does that mean there is definitely a series four set in Mexico?

Just finished series 3 and I really enjoyed it, I’m tempted for the first time ever to start watching a series again, I tried El Chapo but it’s a poor alternative imho. I spend a lot of time in Mexico and South America and have got quite into these 80s narco films and series.

I quite like Pedro Pascal (Javier Pena) I was a bit sad when he got killed off suddenly in GOT.

Sorry i should have maybe left a gap or something.

Terrible news.

Talking about narcos, is there definitely a series 4 set in Mexico being made?

Possibly not in Mexico now, but I think S4 is on the cards

I'm sure they could find suitable alternatives whilst still being set in Mexico for all intents and purposes to the viewer.

I bothered to read the link smile

"Munoz's murder raises doubts on whether the production will continue in Mexico or move back to Colombia where it began. Such a decision would imperil hundreds of jobs that the series' production would have generated in Mexico"

I assumed this happened in Juarez or some other lawless border crossing town but the region looks inland north of Mexico City. Apparently it has one of the highest murder rates.

you are doing this deliberately now aren't you!

article said "Munoz's bullet-riddled body and car were found in a remote area near the borders of Hidalgo state, which is said to have the highest murder rate in Mexico."
