Netflix - What gems have you found?
Discussion
I see The Guv'nor is now on Netflix, watched this the other week and really enjoyed it - A documentary about Lenny McLean, made by his son. A rather harrowing life at times with a particularly nasty childhood with an abusive step father, growing into a proper nutter with a generous case of OCD...worth a watch. Interesting why some of his family wanted nothing to do with it though.

Right, so I know it's not really an undiscovered gem but I've only just started watching Peakey Blinders on Netflix.
What a great series this is, although it's got some grim slashing action, it still manages to make brunmies cool.
Favourite parts of series 1 involve the blinders going on holiday to London.
I can't believe I didn't see this when it first came out, I think my wife and I started watching it but she didn't like all the stabbing and violence.

I've finished Black Mirror.
All episodes are excellent, but some could be movies in their own right. Particularly s3e4: "San Junipero". Unusually moving and uplifting by Black Mirror standards!
Robert Downey Jr bought the film rights for An Entire History Of You in 2013, not much has been heard since though. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/fi...All episodes are excellent, but some could be movies in their own right. Today's Shooter is excellent, and brutal
One thing that is creeping in and annoying is the weekly release of episodes on things like Netflix and Amazon video. The whole point of it for me was being able to watch any episode when I wanted, including a binge if I wanted to.
Having one released a week feels a bit too like normal scheduled TV to me (albeit you can watch any time after its been released).
Hope this doesnt continue to most of the oringinal Netflix series.

Started watching The OA last night, 1st episode is fantastic! Really drawn me in.
I'm struggling with the OA, I've persevered and watched up to and including episode 3 and it has improved a bit. I'll give 4 a go tonight and see how it goes, if I'm still struggling after no. 4 I think I'll knock it on the head.

My missus spits feathers whenever she hears it mentioned as she was very cross with how it went!

Yes, enjoyed that. Certainly had echoes of the 2007 movie in that one...Can anyone else still see it as available? I've enjoyed the first 7 episodes and was looking forward to watching the new one tonight..
