That lad's got some bottle, sticking at 3% when they agreed (while at the wall) they'd go to 4. Saw they had him.

Glasses while you wait?

Did I wake up in an alternative reality? This is exactly how it used to be at the likes of Vision Express? We've gone full fking circle and nobody even mentioned it.

It certainly didn't float any boats.

A great fourth pitch which reminded me of a certain PHer?

What do they say - companies are valued at 7 times earnings… so his would he what - minus a million? So as Tuker says - his valuation must have been based on having a couple of million in the Bank

The pretty ear stone lady was given an easy ride.
What’s your nett profit - £60k - are you taking a wage - yes £30k out of the £60k

I suppose it could be a dividend

Seems to be more about charity now than business.

"I turned over about 120k with 16k profit"

"You've got three Dragons!"

It was a bit 'Grrrr' last night.

Ear stones... easy entry to market, and probably a load of bks too.

Hippy bloke, DM said there's no real market for it, everybody else clambering all over it...

You don't often hear about what happens in the aftermath. I'd imagine a fair few don't go past due dilligence, others may bump along without meeting the initial promises & fade out. I find the premise a bit odd full stop. If you assume the dragons are effectively messing around with petty cash, it can only be ego driving them to be on tv when they could easily do all this in private & probably do for all I khow.

What I do know is I traded with a company Deborah Meaden invested in who went bust a couple of years after winning her cash. It struck me as a thin proposition at the time & turned out to be so. I understand she put further funds in too as things began to slide before pulling the plug.

Haven't watched 'Capitalists' Lair' for a long time but caught the latter half of the episode last night.

With the investors clambering all over acupuncture without needles nonsense and positively wetting themselves over a washed-out hippy who blesses bags of Cacao, I did half wonder if I'd tuned into a special April 1st edition.

No wonder business in this country is in such a state if this is the sort of st people are clamouring to invest in.

Quite agree. I couldn't believe it.

I gave up on the Apprentice years ago when it morphed into a light-entertainment show. DD has now gone the same way.

As someone elsewhere pointed out - what would Duncan's reaction have been to those 2 pitches/products ??

The apprentice has always been garbage. Disagree on DD though. Who cares what they're hawking? If there's a market then there's pound notes. That's all that matters.

Partially so - but I've just been on the AcuSeeds website and they're promoting these £30 box of stickers for ADHD, fertility, back pain, weight loss, anxiety, depression, endometriosis, chronic fatigue, stress, tinnitus, libido, migraines etc etc. A magical treatment for just about everything ?? Maybe ethics does matter.

Interestingly you can buy 200 "Healifty" ear stickers on Amazon for £6.96. I guess they just don't look so glossy...

In the old days Peter Jones would chastise pitchers for not wearing a hand made Savile Row suit, now people turn up looking like the Young Ones, ask for 100k for 1% equity and the Dragon's roll over

I didn’t get Neville’s point on the football memorabilia, first he says “ no footballer I know would want their boots, shirt whatever being sold for profit and they would want to give to charity” - so no investment.

The he says “I will be in touch as I would use you to sell all my memorabilia”

Maybe I missed something but sounded as though he was contradicting himself…… surely he couldn’t be as bad a dragon as he is a pundit……….

He was saying that kit given away to charity or individuals is as a kind gesture and not expected to be sold on for profit other than to benefit the charity whereas footballers personal collections of stuff may eventually be sold as it is no longer wanted or to raise cash if they are skint.

So don't profit from it unless it is the footballer himself/herself that is profiting from it.

Right.

Tossers.
