Our Sky Q boxes are getting on a bit now and I find I'm constantly having to do a reset on the 2 mini boxes which is annoying.
Ours are too nearly eight years old and the mini box needs resetting about once a week. They also run pretty hot.I am thinking of getting Sky to replace them.

Yeah, I'm sure some negotiation can be done. I might enquire about cancelling and stating the reason is the ageing hardware needing resetting regularly. I've got everything apart from the movie channels so it's probably worth their while to replace my kit and keep me as a customer than have me walk away.I am thinking of getting Sky to replace them.
I’ve gone for the free install offer from Sky +. After a bit of negotiation, Sky Q UHD/4K with a free 1TB box and multi-room will be much cheaper than my current Sky + subscription. Installation early June
The only thing is that my second TV is in another building around 100 yards from the house. There is ethernet between the house router and the second location, both TVs are connected by wifi (unavoidable)
I’m not sure whether a Q minibox can be configured to work like this (?). Sky Q seems to include Sky on Apple TV, so that would be fine as an alternative. But is that going to work in UHD/4K ?
