Salvation in the form of Radcliffe and Maconie on R6, shame its digital only and finishes at 4.00.
But it's followed by Steve Lamacq, which is a great show....And lauren Laverne isn't too bad either. I used to listen to the first hour of J. Vine before switching to Mark and Lard...oops, Maconie - but Vince got so bad I switched to 6 Music at 12.00 instead.
I bash the BBC a lot, but 6 Music is very very good.
ETA - Into the Valley by the Skids now! Fantastic!

Richard Bacon on R5 is pretty good too, although no music. Steve Wright makes me want to smash the radio to bits (and not in a good way).
Can you want to smash a radio in a good way?Richard Bacon on R5 is pretty good too, although no music. Steve Wright makes me want to smash the radio to bits (and not in a good way).
6 Music move was annoying.Just don't get the chance to listen anymore. Also liked their time slot on radio 2....good for work in the shed for a lot of people I'm sure.

His show is 'fresh and endlessly popular'. Not around these parts it seems.
This reminds me of the time he had started "the big" show one day and kept fading in and out the intro to a song whilst using different words to describe the show: "Contemporary would describe us" - plays a few seconds - "Modern, yes it's modern" and so on. I nearly drove to London to beat him up with his headphones.alsaautomotive said:
And another thing..............why does he NEVER take part in Children in need?????????? He's always on holiday this week & I can't rememember him ever doing the non-stop music marathon on the Friday (& I'm quite old & have been listening a long time!!!!!!!)
It's Terry's baby and I don't think he could take not being center of attention. I bet he even hates introducing or advertising bits of other shows during his.OneDs said:
