Dear Correspondent

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Classic Car Rescue.

We were sorry to read that you did not enjoy Episode 1 of this programme. It is not in Channel 5's interests, or indeed any broadcaster's interests, to alienate viewers but we all provide mixed schedules and, inevitably, there will be a dissonance of views about the content, format and presenters of our programmes. However, please remember that programmes that you do not like may be appreciated by other viewers and vice versa.

Nevertheless, we are grateful to you for taking the time to make us aware of your concerns. Your comments on the programme have been logged in our Viewer Enquiries Report. This is circulated throughout the company and seen by all relevant personnel.

Thank you for your interest in Channel 5.

Yours sincerely

RE - "Classic car rescue"

This is with out doubt the worst contrived drivel I have ever witnessed, channel 5 should take a serious look at who ever directed, produced and edited this pile of steaming dog turds and thought it was fit to air. I certainly wont be bothering to watch it again.

The dinner lady, the woman who cleans the bins of Friday and the bloke who fixed the fax machine last week.

Why not just reply "Go away! we don't care"

I thought it was of the quality I expect of a Richard Desmond product.

The reversing into the engine block was the worst bit and I'm amazed that the "respected car valuer" put his name to a thirty grand valuation.

Cla**ic Car rescue is an anagram of access real circus getmecoat
Or better still: accuse car slicers. Given their paint prep techniques this seems apt..

What? Wheeler Dealers isn't bad at all. confused
Why not swap?
If you gave Ed the E type and the Mk2 to Bernie's lot, what would the result be?

On Wheeler Dealers Mike would say "We've only gone and got ourselves an E-Type Jaguar Edward" then Edd and Paul would work a million uncredited hours with the assistance of a transmission jack and un-named penetrating fluid getting all the ste out of the body. Mike would turn up just before the advert break to offload some parts for which he used his fabled negotiating skills to pay full retail price and will comment "It looks just the same as when I left it here". Edd, wearing a long-sleeved Billabong T-shirt under a Bug Jam 2004 T-shirt, would use his dent-pulling system then let in a Webasto roof. They'd respray the car in white or BRG though Mike will have wanted it red. After a short test-drive with Mike at the wheel and Edd shoehorned in the other seat with his knees round his ears Mike will ask too much money for it and end up selling it for a £600 "profit" to the producer's dad.

On CCR they'd dick about having fake arguments and balls-up a nice old Jag.
