After how Polly tried to give up Tommy to Alistair McGowan to save her son, I was expecting revenge on that score.
She didn't really. That date in the diary was marked with a black star, he knew the score from that. Can't remember why to back it up though. However, I do acknowledge that if he did not survive that encounter Polly would still have waltzed off to Oz.
He's really not happy with Michael though. Lucky to get shipped off to handle the New York end of business, he'd be gone if not Polly's boy.

He's even more dodgy now. He's a bloody MP!!
Thanks, I haven't watched it yet....Merry Christmas.
Jesus Christ man.
Anyway, a good & interesting end, more twists than a rollercoaster, roll on the next series.
Hmmm, not sure if this season is actually good, or good at making itself look good.
The Arthur 'twist' was tedious, the Solomon end was not the best (compare to Breaking Bad when Mike dies, a perfectly pitched death for a significant character). Just couldn't take Brody serious, he came across as a pantomime villain, his death was not exciting, the boxing story was given prominence but was a mere backdrop later.
And the whole thing is now so self-indulgent, please stop slow motion walking through the foundry and lingering on Tommy expressing some sadness, yet again. Arthur is a caricature of himself "Fookin this, and fookin that" look how intense I can be, should have got Begbie in from Trainspotting instead.
His death was stupid, and he didn't seem to have any marks on his neck upon return.
6.5/10

Previous seasons were better.
I think one of the big problems is the small number of episodes, a good season of a show should be struggling to fill 10, so having to squash them into 6 does it no good.
We are a bit spoiled with Crime Drama's too with the quality of the Italian and South American dramas (Suburra, gomorra, Narcos etc) so Peaky Blinders needed to live up to the competition.

When will Brody take that bloody toothpick out of his mouth? It's the most clichéd gangster performance I've ever seen.
Agreed - appalling performance that spoils the series for me.It was recommended just before Christmas that I should watch it, having vaguely heard of it before but that was it. It took me about 2 episodes to get in to it and on the 3rd I was hooked. So I binged for the next week and have now seen all four series. It is absolutely brilliant, series 2 has been my favourite. British TV at its best, I am so disappointed that I have to wait until 2019 for the next instalment!
It is a shame that Grace is gone, I hope they bring the horse trainer back again. "You've told me about her like a Gentleman, now kindly behave like a Gangster again".

I thought the last series was ok but not as good as the previous ones. The plot twists are a bit over the top now.
What would people like to see next series? I’m getting bored of the dreary Birmingham setting and would like to see the peaky blinders expand into the states or the Far East. Perhaps a war between the blinders and the triads in Hong Kong?
