i would hate to see captain kirk and captain picards insurance quotes. they have both pretty much written off 3 enterprises each (picard sent the enterprise c to its doom so its a fault claim imo.

They did use a parsec correctly. When Han said he could do it in less than 12 parsecs, its because the Kessel run takes you around black holes. The faster your ship, the shorter you detour around them, so it is correct
