Just finished watching series 1 and 2 of this. It's excellent.
I found the scene where Neil ( Catherine's sister's boyfried) disappears on a 3 day bender and is outside a pub, topless, shouting profanities and nicking customers chips hilarious. I had to watch it twice.

Series 3 is airing on New Years Day

Looking forward to series 3.

Remember watching series 1 just to location spot (I'm a local) but got hooked in! Season 2 wasnt quite as good but still a great watch, albeit a grim one at times.

I remember from Series 1 that I’d never seen a more sinister character than Tommy Lee Royce.

I applied for tickets for the premier night of Series 3 but no joy.

They're all on iPlayer. I hadn't seen any of the episodes before.
I just saw the adverts for series 3 and found series 1 and 2 on iPlayer. Binged them over the last week.

That's great news! I thought it was all done and dusted! It's a brilliant show, and Lancashire is just brilliant.

One of the best dramas of recent years - Sarah Lancashire is outstanding.

I think series 3 is scheduled for 2100hrs BBC1 New Year’s Day?

6 episodes.

Edit: someone mentioned the broadcast date prior to my post.

Absolutely gripping series, although I preferred series one, but they were both excellent,

James Norton was scary as Tommy Lee Royce, what a contrast from his portrayal as the vicar in Grantchester.

Sarah Lancashire excelled showing what a versatile actress she is after playing drippy Raquel in Corrie.

He is a fantastic actor for sure. Tommy Lee Royce has been my favourite role for him, but he is a very versatile actor as you say though.

I've just started rewatching series 1. Standout line for me is "I'm too old to start shagging in cars".

I read earlier that they are not putting the whole series on iPlayer after the 1st episode but an episode at a time as they air.

I really enjoyed the show that aired tonight (S3 episode 1 I think).
Sarah Lancashire as good as ever, sharp script, gritty storyline, engaging characters. Loved it.

Yes, very good episode,
I suspect though that the Royal Pharmaceutical Society will not be impressed!
