Trade advert.
Reminds me of my Mum's old car which was bought from a Christian car dealer, their slogan 'good news for car buyers'. No fish on it though.

Interesting that Kylie ended up putting make-up on a stiff - Audrey used to do that for Archie Shuttleworth (Roy Hudd) when they were mates.
I recognised the bereaved husband as Derek Griffiths pretty quickly despite not seeing him on TV for about 35yrs!

I can't stop humming the tune to PlayAway every time I see him.

He does crop up in bit parts all over the place, apparently this is not a one-off appearance though.

Been away on hols, so had a marathon catch up Corrie fest..smile Plenty been happening I see, poor Michael seems to put his foot in things whatever he does, will he get one over on Phelan?

Regarding the old "tools", my guess is Phelan had them sharpened for his own benefit, but brought them back to the hospital pronto, to make Michael out to be "mistaken"..

Looks like Callum's mate Gemma is going to be sticking around for a while, possibly working in Dev's Kebab shop with Chesney, what a great character, she will ruffle a few feathers.....smile

Crafty Phelan's always one step ahead, convincing dopey Eileen that really it was all Anna's fault, he did make it very plausible.

I forgot to remark - Norris mentioned postal votes from Peru. Really? For local council elections?

I may be wrong, but I wouldn't have thought postal votes would be available at low-level elections.

Why not - how do you think the people who work in polling stations miles from home (eg my wife)get to ..err..exercise their franchise?

What's Rana up to? I thought she was just a flirt, having a bit of fun at Zadine's expense, but we've seen previous boyfriends and Zidane's clearly punching above his weight. So what's her end game?

PS With her outlook on life I don't think she's going to persuade him to go to Syria.

She's too cocky by half, the smug bint, and Zidine is stupid enough to fall for it.rolleyes

This will end in tears, cry and they won't be Rana's.....

Meanwhile, re the padlock.....

What is hidden behind that bedroom door?

Could it be 250 boxes of Underworld's finest frilly knick nacs?...

It could be the O'Driscolls' combined acting talent.

Cracking couple of episodes last night with explosive action.....punch

One thing.

Why would the O'Driscoll's want Marta as a slave?

They are hardly short of money, and if they really needed a live in au pair to tidy the house etc, the pay is what? £6 per hour...

Doesn't make sense, unless they were involved in human trafficking...

The look on Gail's face when Michael spurned her advances, god, she is desperate...biggrin

Sexy Sally Webster (nee Seddon) on the computer at bedtime.....

"I've got to get on top of this"

Dim Tim:-

"I was thinking of getting on top of something else".....frown

The scene was made even funnier by the Righteous Brothers background track.

I did find this a bit odd. She is Polish, so could not in any way be an illegal immigrant, unlike if she was from Russia or Moldova so them holding on to her passport is hardly a hold over her. Does anyone on here know what was being said in Polish? I can't see it costing that much to pay someone legally to do that and you wouldn't need to lock them up when you got out or have visitors. Maybe they also have a factory full of them?

She's actually a werewolf and was being kept locked up when there was a full moon imminent for her own (and everyone else's) safety! smile

Sorry chaps but the believability rating of the programme is at an all time low.
Polski slave
Easy election win for Sally loss for Norris - how ?
Comedy factory management that has one customer to survive yet can easily absorb £10k divis
The sale of the bistro - and the valuation - amazing
Yes its a drama but you expect some sense and sensibility from the writers.

Jane Austin has never written for Coronation Street, and she's unlikely to start now.

Thanks Wacky. It's what I assumed was said. I suspect their threats are a bluff, unless, as has been suggested, they are actually deeply involved in people-trafficking.
