(FWIW I agree that he is badly cast as a supposed genetic offspring of Peter, but he's a good little actor, and has been given some cracking one-liners over the years.)

To me "Simon" has always seemed a lot older than his years.

He's either a great young actor or extremely intelligent.

Many young "actors" they bring into the "Street" are too busy looking at the camera when they are saying their lines, instead of who they are talking to,.... and obviously have to be prompted from the sidelines.

Max being a prime example.
