This has got to be the most complicated drama I've ever seen. I'm worn out at the end of every episode, trying to keep up. I log on to PH each week and hope this thread is still going, just to clarify things. Only two more episodes, thank goodness!
But you love it I can only think of one way to describe tonight, "st just got real"...

At some point early on there was a photo of the butcher's wife in a compromising pose.
Who had that photo? Was it Dementia Dad?
It was on butcher wifes phone and she deleted it, I think the 3 army guys knew she was into that kind of thing so it meant her husband was a prime candidate for the setup.Who had that photo? Was it Dementia Dad?

Only downer is that presumably the Baptiste character won't return for any upcoming series given his apparently terminal condition.
He's signed up for series three - he will be carrying a few more injuries, and now resembles this -Still two more episodes to go and it's getting more convoluted than tax legislation.

Had to suspend my disbelief slightly in that Baptiste was apparently allowed to walk into an old folks' home, physically attack a resident, be caught in the act of doing so, but just be told to not be a bad man and go away.
Surely they'd have been 999-ing der Rozzers pronto!?
Not quite suspended as much as a civvy being able to get into the Red Cap's PC, and gain the details of personnel on an Op that took place 25 years earlier; print the info and vacate. It takes me ages and a reboot to get into my own JPA! Surely they'd have been 999-ing der Rozzers pronto!?

There's plenty of time yet for him to go back home for the operation that his wife keeps banging on about, which might miraculously save him.mattyn1 said:

After the fire
The whole fire thing was a plan by PR man to make people think 'Alice' was dead so that no one would be looking for her anymore and then they can live together 'normally'. Even tho the death of Alice does nothing to detract from the fact that 'Sophie' is still being kept somewhere? Or did 'Alice' tell them that 'Sophie' was dead? I can't remember

I think it's been dragged out unnecessarily. Could easily be two episodes shorter simply by cutting the histrionics of David Morrissey. It's normally the female in these dramas that acts irrationally whilst the bloke tries to get on with some semblance of normal life however the roles have been reversed.
