How comes PR guys child drew a picture of her and 'mummy' in the basement when they both lived upstairs and it was apparently Alice who lived in the basement?

Strange choice by PR cos Sophie looks like moomin-troll to me

I turned over late and missed the first part of the 'Iraq' story - why was PR nutter being tortured?

The 'dirty girl' is Sophie Giraud? (sic). Hooded-eye-trout-pout is not Alice Webster, and the shed ballast was Alice?

Does that sound correct?

It's a bit of a misery fest - reminds me of watching Eastenders.

He has a thing for underage girls. When it was in Iraq he was caught in bed with a 13yo daughter of some Iraq lunatic army (or something). I assume they took him to that house to teach him a lesson.

Sleeping with a 13 year daughter of a republican guard.

They said fake Alice had a child when she was found so presume she is the mother but then the basement picture confuses things!

Alice is in the locked room at the end. Sophie G is the fake Alice. The burned one is the third girl from the photo.

No idea how they will wrap it up in an hour!?

Why are the Polizei not in a hurry to track down their colleague who got a bit too friendly with the black and decker?

Also the press officer doing a runner would also arouse suspicion.
I think it's only been a day or so that Jürgen the German's been gone

PR guy sent a text from German cop to his Polizei mates saying he was off sick

doing a runner will indeed rouse suspicion, but they won't know where he is, off hiding in the alps

I think Sophie will kill him now

I also predict Morrissey knew all about it, for some reason

But how then does her DNA match scarface?

I like a good detective mystery, but adding gratuitous unpleasantries seems OTT when it's hard enough just piecing the bits together. I would add that in a household of 3 adults, I'm the only one sticking this out.

Wonder what's on CBeebies?

If you remember the first series, they won't. They will gloss over, simplify, or ignore great lumps of the story, throw in some bits that haven't been previously shown, and leave the main question unanswered.

The eternal turmoil of the family left behind by the missing without answers....

It matches his, I bet it wouldn't match the mother's...

I think he used his card in the toy shop, because when he got out of the car he couldn't find his cash.
I wonder if they will trace him to the Swizz town? He must need to buy food and supplies.

They will then descend on the town following a check of his card, speak to the young lad working in the cafe (and show him a photo). Who will lead them to the path going into the trees.

The DNA match was only the father, so yes that will probably tie part of the story together.

I am quite enjoying it.

It was very pointed that the David Morrissey character DNA was matched but no mention of the wife's DNA. I'm expecting he is a serial womaniser perhaps.
This was my theory further up the thread. Sam is a serial shagger, body in shed was third rollercoaster girl, who is his daughter by an as yet unknown mother.

Could it be the butcher's wife? Did her big reveal last night as a struggling army major in Iraq (and quite hot in her younger days) with no control over her men hint at the fact that she might have banged a young squaddie? Then left the army and had his kid on the quiet? Gettrick abducted the kid as some form of revenge against her for not rescuing him in Iraq? She couldn't report her missing, because it would blow the cover of who the father was? Something like that anyway. There's still no significance attached to the photo of her in her underwear that she deleted from the camera. Who took that photo/who was it originally sent to?

Lots to be revealed in an hour next week!

That, and didn't he inherit the cabin from his uncle or some other relation? So you'd imagine wouldn't be hard to track down property records. Also the handy VW Camper in red but with bits of paint missing around the wheelarch, that's somewhere in the forest too.

I think the DNA tests with Sam, Fake Alice and the girl in the shed are fabricated as the news of these matches were delivered by the army PR guy.

What is the link between Stone (dementia guy) and Reed (suicide) and Gettrick - yes they were all in Iraq but it has been implied so far they were all in the child abduction thing together.

Reed killed himself when Alice/Sophie turned up and Stone clearly knew Alice/Sophie when she pointed out the female army womans husband - but other than that there has been no link (yet) to them being up to no good other than the Iraq issue.

I'm assuming Gettrick blackmailed them all once they were back in the UK.

Stone shot a man in cold blood & torched a house that killed the daughter, the other guy was complicit in it all.

They both appeared to have decent military careers too that they wouldn't want to lose.
