My feelings exactly. Internal stone wall and exposed glu lams looked great - external looked a mess and too crisp considering the lovely stone they had that was hidden with render.

I looked nice, but out of place in the environment. I doubt the balcony will ever be used anyway, as it'll always be freezing and windy, even at the hight of summer.

My thoughts as well.

There were nice elements despite this. The exposed curved beams and the exposed stone wall in the connecting hallway were quite nice, but the raised area where the sofas were (where they were sitting at the end) detracted massively from the curved shape they were banging on about the whole time.

Seemed very much like there were a lot of ideas and they decided to just use them all.

Either the balcony wasn't finished or Northern Ireland have a lax attitude to building regs, there was no perimeter fencing, with 2 kids knocking about blah blah blah

I'll buck the trend & say I loved it, definitely odd with the bedroom window though, guessing a tree or two planted in the right place will help a lot?

I liked it.

Couldn't understand why their bedroom was downstairs with the silly full height window when there was a master bedroom in the new build bit with views out to sea.

I liked the Northern Ireland build, its been a while since Kev has got a kid out!

Shame it wasnt really finished, but it was a great idea but I think the guy really didn't take in to account all the work involved to get it built on budget which is really worrying given his occupation.

The cave as a really good build, but I too am a little disapoined to see its a rental not a home. Doesn't take away all the hard work buy the guy though, in my opinon anyway.
