I used to be unsure if it was all real or magic.
Then one day my mate showed me a trick.
Get some dental floss and unravell one tiny strand about a metre long. It's so thin you can hardly see it.
Tie one end round your shirt button and the other end round your thumb. Hold your arm slightly away from your chest.
You then rip off a corner of tissue and with your other hand, hold it in your fist, rub your fingers giving it the 'magic touch' and let it go onto the strand.
One levitating tissue.
From then on, I saw all magic from a different perspective and have worked out loads if tricks.
There is no magic!
Thank you Professor scienceThen one day my mate showed me a trick.

Good show and yes certainly very good at his trade, by the way it's not magic...........he's an alien that's for sure!
I was at an exhibition a couple of years ago and a wandering magician asked me to sign a card which I did.
After about 30 seconds it ended up in a sealed small brown envelope in my inside pocket in my jacket, which he asked me to search for, he didn't plant.
HE DIDNT FECKING TOUCH ME how did he do that
He wasn't David Blain but a chap earning a living at exhibitions so presumably not in the same league but he was brilliant.
I then had a chance to watch Penn & Teller in Las Vegas a couple of years ago, and they are simply stunning, and I mean amazing.
Hats off to all of these performers, always a good evenings entertainment that's for sure.

They are in another (it's definitely magic) league.
In-fecking-believable.

Friend of mine does stuff like that. A deck of identical cards and misdirection can have impressive results I was at an exhibition a couple of years ago and a wandering magician asked me to sign a card which I did.

After no time at all it was in a sealed envelope in my pocket.
It's black magic I tell thee
I bloody love magic. My friends brother does it at Hamleys and is really good.
It's really mind boggling when its done 1ft away from you and really seems impossible. Love it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Some are just insane - I found the tearing of the note then putting it back on the amazing. When Olivia Wilde was holding it and her bloke ripped the piece off. Blaine didn't touch it other than when he put it in his mouth at the end to join it back together. Brilliant.

He's very, very good obviously...
but...
I just don't like the way he comes across, he's a right smug tw@.....the way he just waltzes off after leaving everyone dumbstruck annoys me too.
It's quite irrational but I just don't like his TV persona....he may be a top chap in reality,
Also got to wonder what's up with the African american populations propensity for whooping and a hollering down the street all arms up in the air and what not or just generally offering up an absurd physical overreaction. What up with just saying "yeah, that was reet."...and be on your way.

You realised it was just folded over, the tear was fake. When he then put the note in his mouth he just re-opened the un-ripped note with his tongue - magic. It's really mind boggling when its done 1ft away from you and really seems impossible. Love it.

That one was easy to spot, the others less so.

I assumed that initially but the other guy ripped the note and put it in Blaines mouth? Surely it would be way to obvious if the note was just folded? That one was easy to spot, the others less so.
This is pretty good and shows the lengths some of the best go to when searching for the perfect illusion or stunt

I hate seeing how most of the tricks are done, really spoils them.

Think I spotted a possible means to accomplish the trick..It's really mind boggling when its done 1ft away from you and really seems impossible. Love it.
