Got half way through one on the way home today. They are discussing psycodelics, floatation tanks and ancient civilisations.... So quite diverse but very interesting!
Thanks to someone mentioning it above, I am halfway through, Joe Rogan Experience #725 - Graham Hancock & Randall Carlson.Very very good, more so because I have just finished Graham's latest book, Magician of the Gods. Which has updated info on pushing back civilisation to much further than the accepted paradigm allows. Also with reasons that tie into why it went away, that funnily enough ties into climate change and the Younger Dryas Period.
Just got to the part in the podcast where Graham explains how the terms 'climatechnage-denier' and 'pseudo-scientist' are hurled as slurs to shut down any talk and ignore any avenues that lead away from the paradigm. One just has to go into the Science! forum righthere and see how posters use the pseudo-scientist attack. Most interesting.

That's weird, in an episode I listened to last week he was very much anti-conspiracy theories about the moon landings?!? (I am listening to them in a sporadic order though)
The Neil degrasse Tyson episode I think he was referring to? That was a real let down tbh. I love ndgt and Joe wasn't great on that ep.OK, looks like there is only one.
310.

Ta, it's very good.
I think the NdGT episode wasn´t as good as it could have been. It is interesting though, as an example of Rogan´s evolving beliefs. Not sure he would be as much of a conspiracy theorist these days. His belief in and current scepticism of bigfoot is another example.JD PH said:

He was quite open that he had changed his mind on the moon thing, and not that he was a full denier, but that elements of it seemed plausible, and when he listed some of the reasons, like Clinton, it did seem plausible, but he evolved and learned. He was throwing ideas up to Tyson to smash to bits. To that effect I thought it was a ratheer good anti-conspiracy show. It wasn't what I was expecting after reading comments above. Fair enough, it´s a while since I listened to it. Remember thinking it was a bit of a wasted opportunity to have a more positive (rather than combatting negatives, if you like) discussion about Neil, his work and science in general.
Really enjoyed this recent NdGT discussion with Sam Harris.

Re the Moon landings, Joe isn't a young man so shouldn't get a free pass for his crackpot beliefs held just a few years ago. :laughs:

Managed to load the old ones up through iTunes in the end.
Brilliant stuff, pretty unusual to hear lengthy interviews that are allowed to wander off as these please these days, even many podcasts are quite structured in that respect.
I may not agree with everything he says, but the guy clearly has a good base of knowledge on a number of subjects. The Alex Winter dark web one was fascinating and I didn't want to get out of my car today listening to the Chris Harris one, some proper car geekery going on.
Got Jay Leno and also a bunch of paranormal ones queued up for a future listen.

Sweet, on it!
Just finished the Dr Steven Greer one, one hell of a whirlwind. Credit for Joe for stopping him to query things whenever possible, but there was so much stuff being spilled out it was difficult for him to stop and question one incredible revelation after another. Now got lots of research to do, i.e. did Joe manage to get out into the desert with him.
