Loved it! Loved Rhys Darby in flight of the choncords, perhaps too over-Darby'd but had an old school x-files feel to it. It seems the new series is so marmite, fingers crossed for the rest of the series.
I do like that actor, but it should be fit a sitcom type thing.Edited by The Angry Gopher on Wednesday 24th February 07:53
I thought part 6 was a bit rushed; all of a sudden the human race is facing wipeout, but with no suspense-filled build-up, just a few lines of exposition by Scully, who almost single-handedly in a few hours manages to sequence her DNA, extract the vital part and prepare an antidote before racing across a traffic-choked city in an effort to save Mulder.

I ended up deleting what was left. If they repeat them, maybe I'll give 'em another chance.
I have the X-Files Series 1-9 on Blu-ray box set, plus the two movies. I like most of the older episodes. But this 6-episode series just seemed a bit off, more like a parody of the old series than a continuation. Mezzanine said:

Thinking they could be setting the 2 young agents up to replace mulder & scully.
I really, really hope not!Last night's one was better than previous one, just bugged me that I've now got to wait to see if the world avoids destruction by plague.

That last one was, oh, so much better!! Make more like that please
It was much better. Not a great series to return with, bit of a mixed bag of episodes1. Reasonable, just enough to keep my interest and hope the series improved
2. Better
3. Awful, I know I'm in the minority with this one as it appeared to get good reviews
4. Not bad, improvement on 3.
5. Average
6. Best of the series
For those missing the original series, they're being shown on Spike, sky channel 160. Tooms is on tomorrow night
