Another programme which I prefer is the one about restoration of the E Type and the MG,just can't remember his name.
Mark Evans, "A xxxx is born"I'm not a fan. Honest.
The guy selling the Interceptor in last nights prog must have been bloody desperate to sell - he caved in rather easily.
It does make you wonder exactly how contrived the whole buying and selling set up is, and thats before we even get into the rent/wages for Ed scenario.
Even so, it is still an enjoyable programme to watch - like most people have said, the best bit is watching Ed work on the cars, and seeing the vast resource of pro tools he has at his disposal!
Sky+ well and truly set!

It's obviously rehearsed several times before the final cut, and can come across a bit 'set up' - but who cares. It's easily the best car related program on telly, and I have to say I really like Mike's enthusiasm for the cars.
I think it's a great show and can't wait for the Cossie tomorrow!!

Well I must admit I would have run a mile from that Cossie...For me a classic like that must be 100% original, but I guess that'd be hard to find and cost a lot!
Nice job though - looked a cracker.
I agree surely could have picked up one in better condition for that money ?? Also did he basically give away does wheels ?? I thought they were worth £7/800 ??Nice job though - looked a cracker.
Nice cae tho, it was for sale up hear on Pistonheads.
Thought it was not one of the better ones last night. The engine, gearbox and bumper were all sent away..that was it.
The guy selling the interior and wheels was never in a million years give all that away for £300
I'm a real fan of the programme and like brewers/china's enthusiasm, I was expecting more from this one.
Whilst were on thall things WD, what your favourite episode?
mine was the 1.9 205 GTi from years back...now even I would have bought that!

Cant remember it needing a new engine. Think they done the gear linkage, put the suspension back to standard, original steering wheel and renewed the bodykit but i may be wrong.
The rear-beam was shagged - you could see how far the camber was out when they bought it. They never addressed it during the show.150bhp said:

Sure I saw something on a forum somewhere from a subsequent owner who had to replace the engine. It was shown smoking heavily in one shot, and was never properly explained away.Lost soul said:

just been tarted up by a nine foot mechanic
Is that your opinion of the work Edd does?I have seen no evidence of what I would call mechanical bodgery in the series, and any serious paintwork they generally sub out. (After the Capri episode, anyway!)
I think the 840 in last nights one needed more paint than they mentioned - £1000 for the door and bumper is insane! Must have done all down the side and bonnet as well for that sort of money.
