The circle game?
I think he's referring to The Ring.

Ring. It's powerball, except without the balls so it's way too easy to score.

Also not a fan of Collision - bet when it was storyboarded there were visions of Glads swinging in majestically, but in reality there's a limp dangle.

Ah right, yeah the one where they hit the button. I don’t actually mind that one, especially when you have a decent rugby player type.

There’s got to be some kids merch coming for this show soon, right? Birthdays coming up in the next few months and they’d love some Gladiators stuff! biggrin

The problem is they can only hold the contestant for 2 seconds and then have to release. So just wait 2 seconds and then the contestant hits the button.

We’ve been saying the same, there hasn’t even been a kids magazine. I don’t think they’ve been prepared for it being such a hit.

We got the kids some foam hands for the first episode but they’re just generic ones off eBay.

The New Gauntlet is massively stacked against the Gladiators, I can see that changing for the next series if it keeps going. They need to stick to their white line, the channel is too wide and the double rugby training pads seem more like a hinderance than a weapon, they can't pin the contestant, can't push them over the side, can't push them beyond their individual zone-what can they actually do?

Same with the wall, the Gladiators probably need to start a second earlier, climbing the Wall should really be the exception (as should running the Gauntlet) with a big points haul if you make it, or cling on for survival.
Totally agree on Gauntlet, the pad things are utterly useless. With a better 'weapon' it should be almost impossible to get through Giant!!

I thought the girl who won last night was the much more confident of the 2 girls. Her competitor I thought was a bit mentally fragile looked nervous most of the way through.Legend is a great character plays the pantomime villian to a tee but you can tell he is a really nice guy.I do wonder inside how he actually feels being given the run around by the contenders as he has to be an ultra competitive guy and his performances have not been that great
Yep, still loving Legend, been watching a few of his videos on his YouTube channel as well and seems like a good lad really.

It is a shame that he does currently look rather crap as an actual Gladiator though, would be good to see him step up his game in that respect to give his chat a bit of justification.

I don't know....that's what makes it amusing!

Agree with Legend. There has to be a bit more than just being a bit lolz.

Think the thing is that some of these gladiators are intimidating to look at but that's all. Some of them have never done anything like some of these events before. The Wall for example, some of them look worse than the contestants. Bionic seems like a decent guy, but he's a body builder, he doesn't really train to use that body in anything more than a pose. A lot of those guys are well over 6ft and not built for tiptoeing around the Edge platform etc.

I'm sure if it goes on a bit they'll get better but still feels like they're feeling it out.

As for events, I hope they bring some of the more fun ones back. I never really liked Gauntlet and in it's current guise feels like a cakewalk. The Ring is also just a poor version of Powerball, like someone couldn't be arsed to bring out the buckets.

LOL yeah. Not sure why those two games exist together?

I remember having one of the original foam fingers, wouldn't mind another for, er, the kids.....sure rofl (there are no kids)

Great episode this week, that guy had such a massive lead and was so fast there was never a doubt he'd smash the last round but the runner-up was rapid also and gave it his all. For the girls it was really really close and the blonde lady looked really wobbly a few times, wasn't sure she was going to make it but she monstered the travelator.

I agree with the other comments on Gauntlet, it's pointless as a game unless the Glads step out and act up which they're doing more now to make it more interesting for viewers otherwise it's just watching the contenders run through it pretty much in one go.

Bit more practice on the various events. Easy to forget they're all new to the events just like the contestants.

Given Chung was 20 seconds faster than Jake on the Eliminator, I see him as the favourite so far.

He obviously has his weaknesses (size, weight), but he's so fast it'll take a lot to beat him.

Would be interesting to have one of the big WSM guys in as a gladiator. Would only be any use in certain events. The big guys like Brian Shaw, Tom Stoltman, Thor are near another 100lbs in weight on Giant and even bigger. Should be great at Gauntlet, Duel for example.

I really like chung he's such a likable down to earth guy.

No point going on gladiators trying to math them for size youd likely lose (as a male contestant) so being fast and nimble means yes you lose some games before you start (duel for chung) but power ball, the edge and the eliminator are his specialities.

The girls if they are into fitness or 6ft can beat some of the shorter gladiators.

Was saying yesterday Eddie Hall would be a good presenter (or even gladiator?)

Great shout to present!
Probably a silly idea to be a gladiator, although would love to see him try the wall haha
