Finally been convinced to give PB a go, so binge-wtching an episode or two every evening with the Mrs. Currently on Series 3, Episode 4.
I can't see what all the fuss is about. Sound levels are silly (voice vs music), the accents are laughable (Polly is Brum one minute, and Scouse the next), John Shelby reminds me of the kid from Deliverance, best part of the whole series so far was the Major from Belfast and he's dead now. I just don't get it - or why is inspired so many idiotic haircuts, bars, theme-nights etc.
Sorry for being negative.

It's certainly not for everyone, and the series can become quite frustrating at times. But then the same can be said for any series. Some saw Game of Thrones and the best TV series ever, others didn't bother to watch it.I can't see what all the fuss is about. It's spawned so many pub theme nights because average Joe likes to pretend he's harder than he actually is, and pretending to be a 1920/30's gangster for an evening gives people that.
Disappointing series, I initially liked it but it followed the usual slow burn to a grand finale episode but this time I felt it was a damp squib rather than a box of fireworks. Everything was telegraphed, obvious and the characters actions were cartoonlike, grossly caricatured. Kinda sad!!
I feel like Michael was underused this series. Could have been a great couple of last episodes with them two with a final showdown. Instead they condensed it into 5 minutes. The fight out between the IRA was what we should have seen more of.
The lack of Helen McCrory was definitely felt and far too much time was spent on Thomas Shelbys gypsy/mental health escapades which has already been criticised in previous series.
Stephen Graham Anya Taylor Joy also underused.

Browsing around IMDB I was surprised to see Ada was played by Sophie Rundle.
I recognised the name and, yes I thought so, she was the lady in Episodes who was Joey's stalker.
A lady of rather ample charms.
As for Peaky Blinders, got bored after 4 episodes and came here to haave it spoilered.

Finally watched the *finale* last night. As others have said, it did dribble out rather than go with a bang. Similar vein to Killing Eve. The "end" has been left wide open for a hiatus, time jump, and some more series/a film/one-offs.
Imagine both will go the same as Sherlock with cumberbh. 3year gap... Fanfare... 2hour Christmas special... Seems to be the way nowadays.
As for Mosely, no shock as the son (while in charge of F1) was across the newspapers dressed in natzi gear having his arse spanked by dominatrix.
Tommy does indeed show us smokers that there is hope.
IRA bird, dead but there's plots to continue.
All in all, enjoyable, would watch the whole lot again in winter... But was a lot of style over substance, with many pieces of the story simply cast aside.
With how they ended for Tommy, should they do spin offs or a film, they've effectively rebirthed the character.... House gone, wife gone, now one man on his horse. Businesses left sustainable, half legit, sister to take his role as MP.
It gives them a scenario where he's got equal opportunity to be brought back, on some kind of warpath run of vengeance. Equally, they can let the character fade away. Continue without him, focus on Hardy et Al and simply say "oh Tommy got out the game. He's travelling".

Given Mosley and wife were real and lives well known he couldn’t really bump them off and deviate from history I guess.
I wasn't aware until a couple of days ago that Oswald Moseley is in fact the father of Max Moseley, ex F1 president cuprabob said:

Just to clarify, Killing Eve finale hasn't aired yet. There are still 2 episodes to go it would seem.Gary C said:
