Maybe that's it, I turned 25 two weeks ago and haven't listened to R1 breakfast since.
Moving to Austria next month anyway, I'm sure the German radio will be less annoying!
I'm in Austria today -- sounded annoying to me.

I don't speak Germsn though 😀

So, a year on.

I still can't find a 'home'. Flitting around between radio stations in the morning is becoming tiresome and I just give up on most days and listen to my iPhone.

Mostly CD's.

But I bought an Elise in June and only having a single disc CD means I have been listening to the radio on the way into work, and Radio 2 has grown on me a little. Zoe Ball has been on again this week and she is great in the morning.

I listen to 6Music when I'm getting ready but can't pick it up on my commute so I've paid up for a Spotify subscription so listen to that or podcasts on my phone now. Quite happy with it too smile

Zoe Ball is OK, but has become a bit 'Radio2ey'

I reluctantly listen to Radio 1 breakfast show in spite of the presenter (as there isn't a lot of choice in this area) but have my MP3 there as a backup when it/he gets too annoying (which is remarkably often).

What I miss most about Chris Moyles and co was the interaction between them, and it was clear that they were all fairly close on and off air. It is shame that the team were 'broken up' and most of them have just gone off into obscurity.

It's been said before, but we should petition the Beeb for a new station (Radio 1.5?) for the Radio 1 homeless, i.e. those that aren't thick enough to appreciate the new 'dumbed down' Radio 1, or those who don't fit their target age demographic but haven't yet given up on life and therefore aren't ready to switch to Radio 2.

+1

I do wonder what Moyles' plans for the future are.
I was hoping he'd start radio work again sometime soon, even if not for the BBC.

He just seems to doss around jogging or eating out (on twitter).

This ^^^^

I like the music played on R1, just don't like the presenters (I dont mind Greg James)

Radio 1.5 would be perfect - fed up of the morons on R1, not quite of an age to listen to R2.

I don't mind her that much (apart from saying 'uhh' at the start of every sentence), but I'm finding the music absolutely awful. I don't mind the odd cheesey wedding disco song in the mornings but when it's pretty much every song it goes tiresome very quickly. Here's the list of songs from this morning

Think I can spot 3 songs from 1990-2010...

Absolute is still doing me well, but I've recently changed to a 3 contract with completely unlimited data so I've taken to listening to US radio via TuneIn Radio on that, streamed through the bluetooth in the car.

Some of it is actually pretty good!

The issue that I have is that the BBC created 1 Xtra to cater for the Urban Music demographic. I feel like the BBC don't offer me anything, I love Mills, Greg James & Zane. I used to listen to Coxy but can't stand Cotton. I am too young for Ken Bruce, what am I supposed to do?!

Radio 1 was pretty good on Monday this week with the Reboot, had it on for most of the day! Some of the newer DJs are really good and the format worked well.

Today on the other hand I was mostly listening to Radio 4 which is rare for me (more due to who else was in the car) laugh

Was never a big Moyles fan but could listen to him. Cannot stand Grimshaw at all. Mainly jump between Kiss and Capital in the mornings, then Greg James in the afternoons.

Although just started listening to Talksport which makes a nice change

Radio 1 is pretty bad.Coxy much better than Fern. The station try's to hard.
The dj's aren't comedians, Which a few of them try to be, Badly!!
Scott Mills for me is by far the worst of a bad bunch!!He really is terrible,Not funny at all
His innuendo bingo has run it's cause. I thought Moyle's was bad. Not compared to him he's not..

When I'm working in San Francisco I listen to: http://live105.cbslocal.com and they are quite good.

(probably not in our time morning though as they tend to have a 'problem' show at midnight, which is sometimes worth a listen as American problems are amusing)

I've kind of stuck with R1 even though I think Grimshaw is awful, he plays more music so you don't have to listen to him so much, and when he's speaking I just don't pay attention.

I was disappointed to find vacuous slapper Fearne Cotton back on this week, Sarah Cox was a lot better imo....

Drive home is fine as I like Greg James.

Still can't bring myself to R2 as its the station my parents listen to and I'm not that old.....yet!

Hopefully Moyles will come back with something but he's still contracted to the BBc for a bit I think ? The problem is it probably won't be quite as good I guess......
