Chris Harris (Monkey) tweeted earlier someting like - if you've got kids go and see the Lego Batman movie... if you haven't got kinds go and see...
Absolutely. In fact the older you are and the further back you can go with Batman references the better. They really leave no stone unturned.Just watched 'The Founder' - A film about the founders of McDonald's and its early years going from one restaurant owned by 2 brothers and how it rose to a global business - Wasn't particularly bothered about seeing it, but really glad I did - very interesting how the 2 rather naive brothers wanted to keep it as a reputable business with certain values on the service they provided, and how Michael keatons character pulled the rug from under their feet...quite a sad story really (for them at least), worth a watch 7/10
Hard Candy

If you want an easy watch, light hearted, entertaining family film - then avoid this one! On the other hand, if you want a gripping film with superb acting (Ellen Page) albeit one that deals with an uncomfortable subject then it's worth watching.
Very tense and a very good film.

Lion - very well filmed, great story, pretty well acted by all. The little boy steals the show. Similar story arc/feel to Slumdog Millionaire with the whole childhood/adulthood parts to the story.
Solid 8/10.
Watched this last night with Mrs Pagey. Solid 8/10.
Very well filmed, very, verY thought provoking!
It was a little dusty during the credits at the end

Girl on the train.
Emily Blunt is a alcoholic woman whose borderline stalker. No empathy for the character. Or any of them tbh. Story is way too slow moving. Got 25 mins in and turned it off.
Probably a chick flick more I guess. Avoid
How can you assess an entire film after 25 minutes?! Stupid.Emily Blunt is a alcoholic woman whose borderline stalker. No empathy for the character. Or any of them tbh. Story is way too slow moving. Got 25 mins in and turned it off.

Easily. Many's the film I've assessed in even less than 25 minutes. The last Bourne film for one. That took me all of about 5 minutes. If a film hasn't got you wanting to carry on after almost a third of the way through then it's unlikely to get much better. In fact, off the top of my head I can't think of any films where that's happened to me.

Forgot to say - like a modern day telling of 'Zulu', but far more accurate by all accounts... Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
