Promo for tonight / tomorrow night's episode shows little finger getting stopped by the queen's nutter cousin (forehead branded one) on the streets of Kings Landing. Can't imagine him quietly taking a beating or humiliation?

That and I think they almost left the lens cap on. I almost have to turn up the brightness just to see the characters. Could barely see Arya when she went in the tower of the faceless men.
Totally this. Why do they always have it so dark!? grrrrrr
Agreed.

Sky HD is compressed to hell as well, and the dark colours are always pixellated because of it.

The completely legitimate source I use to watch GoT seems fine in the dark scenes, considering they're compressed files and not streamed directly on TV, I've never noticed it being too dark.

I do watch with the lights off though, as one should.

is that so you don't feel too dirty when frapping off to the naked girls?

I can't watch serious TV or film in daylight, just ruins the atmosphere for me, I like a sort of cinema environment..

What time does the On Demand or download become available on Sky? I know it's there now because I just set it to go onto my planner, I just wondered how early it was available.

I watch on Now TV and don't find it too dark, but then I do have my TV picture set to "dynamic" (helps with spotting the enemy when playing Call Of Duty) so that may have something to do with. Might be a good idea to try similar if anyone is struggling with dark scenes on GoT.

I always watch this- and any other drama, in a dark room. No problem at all with brightness although I am downloading the episodes as they come out.

I really thought Reek would snap out of it and become Theon again, before killing Ramsey and saving Sansa.
