The official PH Coronation Street thread (Vol 2)
Discussion
I've watched it for 40 years, and enjoy it still . Sure, I am tired of Billy and Paul , and wish Simon was abducted by aliens but the good bits are still there to enjoy. It's easy to look back at the past and cherrypick the good bits , but there has been plenty of tiresome dross and wooden acting amongst the jewels.

For those who think Corrie's all doom and gloom these days, here's a bit of light relief from the olden days:-
Lets face it it's just boring. As soon as Paul and Billy come on I lose interest. As soon as gambling builder and his son come on I lose interest. Anything to do with Simon, I just don't care. To be honest they even messed up Tracey and the footballer which had so much potential for some great Corrie humour.
Haven't watched a full episode in weeks. They're losing me after 50yrs. My daughter another life long fan has given up and she's surely the demographic they need for the future.
Sad, very sad.
Billy Vicar really gets on my tits, probably more than anyone else.
Looking forward to tomorrow though.

Trouble is, fewer good bits. Stupid, rushed shallow storylines, such as the parking uproar, rapidly forgotten. The humour is less frequent, more telegraphed and too often unfunny.

I agree 100% with everything you say, but I can't really see me abandoning it, it's a habit, I suppose I'm a junkie

Have you heard the voice of the actor who plays Billy? I don't know how he manages to speak in Billy Voice for as long as he does!Billy Vicar really gets on my tits, probably more than anyone else.

Nothing was done, the cars all disappeared. Is she still a Counsellor or is that story dead?

Can we include Dylan’s dad in the beating please? And make it messy if possible.
I would certainly agree with that, can't stand him.In some ways Dylan is worse than Mason.
He really wants to tell Mason to lay off, because he feels sorry for Liam, but has not got the guts to say anything.
I hope Tommy O stays around, they could good get some good storylines out of him if they use some imagination.
