Yeah, and that was the last we saw of that actor!

You might have something there, Theon killed a frey Raven with an arrow as it flew from the Twins and he lost his favourite toy.

Exception being Daario Neharis who killed a horse in front of the walls of Mereen. At least for now.

Could it be possible that Melissandra gave up her youth to save the life of Jon?

I'd be pissed off if Stannis was alive.

I know we didn't see him Die, but Roose was clearly discussing him being dead and he doesn't seem like a man to settle for anything less than a direct and clear report.

I don't think so, well not yet anyway.

I'm imagining a Monty Python Blue Parrot spoof around Jon Snow being dead/not dead

I'd assumed the dogs where just tracking dogs as Ramsay would want both of them returned alive and undamaged

Maybe to spoil the magic, but I think you're not allowed to actually see them kill an animal on a show? Don't know where I got that but...

I thought Bran had pretty much caught up with the books....

Wonder if there will be some more Iron-born this season?

Speaking of books I wonder if GRRM has simply given up? We may get "The Winds of Winter" some time next year, but at his current writing speed / age "A Dream of Spring" seems unlikely...
Pretty much, from what i can remember, Bran becomes a tree and is able to use the weirwood to spy on and potentially talk to them.. I though Bran was going to make an 'appearance' when Sansa was cornered or even Ayra's wolf rocking up and fking st up.

Didnt the iron born fleet get burnt or is the fleet we have seen Dany's fleet from ages ago (which was meant to be the iron born).

I though TWW was meant to be out now as it was going through proof reading last year? I imagine the book sales will drop after this series once he gets round to finishing them as nobody will care that much about the 'correct' path the characters took as the endings the same.

No comment on content, but was it us but the episode seemed to be over very quickly.

If you were watching it in as broadcast at 9pm with advert breaks, IIRC there were only 2 advert breaks the first after 20mins, then again after another 20. so that might have made it look shorter because your head expected an advert break after 5-10mins of the start.

The fleet was Dany's from ages ago.

The Iron Born have pretty much vanished from the show for the last couple of seasons. They didn't even complete Melisandre's 'Kings Blood' spell from a few seasons back...

GRRM has pretty much announced that there is no end in site for TWOW and is unlikely to arrive this year. I am sure when/if it ever gets published most readers will stick with the series, especially as the show appears to be going in a very different direction to the books.

The Wolves have hardly been used in comparison to the books frown

I thought we'd had a bit less of Bran... I may well be mistaken tho laugh

I'll read the books as they come out as there are stories/people in them to finished

Interesting to speculate what future book developments have now been confirmed by the show (bearing in mind I haven't read the WOW sample chapters so some of this may have already been confirmed)

The most obvious is that Jon is indeed dead. That might sound obvious but there were people claiming a few years back he was wounded rather than killed.

Next of course is Melisandre's true age again not entirely surprising, but less obvious in the books.

Finally it appears that Dany will return to Vaes Dothrak which is rather surprising from where it was left in the books but makes some sort of sense from the prophecy

"To go north, you must go south. To reach the west, you must go east. To go forward you must go back, and to touch the light you must pass beneath the shadow."

For everything else the show has diverged so much that you cant read much into anything. It is possible that Brienne will meet Sansa and some point and serve her but beyond that the gap is just too wide to say.

Stannis is dead. THere's no if's or buts over that.

Wights are made by the Night King aren't they? And Jon is on the wrong side of the wall for that, so he won't turn.

THe Hardholme wildings are in The Gift.

Just a few more thoughts....

The Iron born will feature heavily this year, look at the trailers, and Dany has lost her fleet.

The show is equal or has taken over the books except for one thread, the Riverlands thread, that'll feature this year too...Freys in the trailer remember? I'll expect Sansa to send Brienne south to look for Arya considering that's what the chit-chat is about from next week's preview.

So who is in S6 deadpool then? I am some thoughts. biggrin

I agree they'll feature heavily, but I'm not sure in connection with Dany...

After all, does she need a fleet considering the size and range of at least drogo, and likely the other two once released?

I can see the ironborn becoming entangled once again in the affairs of the North.

Do we think that's Dorne finished with? I can't remember seeing anything of it in the trailers but do the Lannisters have no suspicion of foul play?

More happened in 2 minutes there than all of last season.

I suspect Dorne will come to them rather than the other way around. Although Bronn should know that she was poisoned!
