I'm probably being a bit thick here, but can someone explain the Bran/Winterfell/Hodor scene?
In this flash back Hodor was Wilis, did Horod become Hodor because Bran warged into him in while he was with present and past Hodor/Willis?
And if Bran's flash back occurred 'in the present' then how could Hodor have been Hodor since we first saw him?
Was he in both timelines at the same time?In this flash back Hodor was Wilis, did Horod become Hodor because Bran warged into him in while he was with present and past Hodor/Willis?
And if Bran's flash back occurred 'in the present' then how could Hodor have been Hodor since we first saw him?
As for the sound, it was very quiet.... i usually have my telly on 18-20 i had to put it up to 34 last night for GoT's!

Yes. Bran essentially warged into both Hodors. And if Bran's flash back occurred 'in the present' then how could Hodor have been Hodor since we first saw him?
The "flash back" always happened like that, Willis was always going to become Hodor because we know Hodor already exists in the "present".
(Essentially it is an example of a time-travel non-paradox - the theory that you could happily go back in time but not change anything that happened. Say you went back to kill Hitler or tell your younger self to bang that chick, you can't kill him or get your jiggy on because we know Hitler lived and that you kept your pants on.)
Very funny, Glazbagun.
I can see Sansa...perhaps not being a Stark goody two shoes...
Martin talks about how when a Stark loses a direworlf, they change, or it cuts the cord to their 'Starkness', or something, Sansa lost hers early, due to her own soft betrayal of her house, Bran had to lose his to become the Three-eyed Raven. Arya would need to lose hers to become a Faceless Man.
The boobs were awesome
We'll see the Tower of Joy in S6E10
I've heard we see Theon and Yara in Essos in the big trailer.
Was the first whitewalker a random fella? Possibly not.
"Bran steps through the wall now that the Night King would be able to, thus Bran would be bringing the wall down."
Blimey, there's not much more of my head that can keep getting blown.

Agreed. It also occured to me that Bran may actually be Bran the Builder. If he can warg into people the past, he could be there when Winterfell, Storms End and the Wall were built, help settle the peace between the First Men and the Children, etc, in a Bill & Ted 2 way, or like Valen in Babylon 5.
Closed loops make my head dribble. Like Timecrimes/Terminator. Was the first whitewalker a random fella? Possibly not.

Yeah, surely LF is leading her into a trap regarding the Blackfish, though I don't entirely see why. You'd think he'd want some help to get rid of the Boltons first; maybe he thinks the vale knights can do it on their own.
Lf showed genuine concern for Sansa, his love of Catlyn and by extension her daughter who looks like Cat, is just about the only motivating factor that can affect Lf and his Blairlike quest for power....it might be his undoing."Bran steps through the wall now that the Night King would be able to, thus Bran would be bringing the wall down."
Blimey, there's not much more of my head that can keep getting blown.

So if Bran can go back in history and change it, why not just go back to the time and stop the women stabbing the would be night king
What kind if a hellacious ststorm of calamities would that cause? So Max von Sydow knew his end was near and that Bran would cock it up, due to his nature...he was trying to cram as much learnin' as that pushy lil kid could take.

InterestingThe wall seems to have similar magic to that protecting the weirwoods (probably the children helped build it). Why else have we seen no white walkers south of the wall? and those wights we have seen south of it were brought through the wall inanimate.
Of course the other alternative is that the Nights King has the horn of winter. Either way Winter is coming

Maybe they were better in the past, but Neds kids seem grade A morons. Jon Snow can't be Neds, he's too bright.
100% agree.Seriously, who in the whole of Weteros is such a muppet that they trust LittleFinger.
Talking of Littlefinger...
I thought that to get from Kings Landing/The Eyrie/Riverrun to Winterfell/The North you had to cross the river at The Twins, or sail round? Wasn't that why Robb's marriage to a Frey was so important to The North?
How is Littlefinger/Brienne getting back & forth so easily?
See, I don't know everything!

Bran is THE Bran of the ages.
He can move backwards & forwards in time and affect it.
Bran goes back and is Bran the Builder who builds the wall to keep the White Walkers out, fighting them though the ages, eventually becoming the 3 eyed raven himself.
Probably.
All a bit paradoxical but that's time travel for you.

The Wall is definitely coming down soon

That's the whole point of the Hodor transformation from Wylis.
He can't change history - it already happened.
But from my memory, Wylis became Hodor when Bran went back in time as a 'ghost' and warged into the young wylis with the women saying hold the door. Otherwise why would Wylis become Hodor is it wasnt for Bran warging into him or is it all just a coincidence? He can't change history - it already happened.
It does seem to be becoming all abit messy though as GRRM tried to do such much in so few a books. I know in the books it would explain it more quickly but the first few series seemed to plod and now its like, here it all is
