Saw a advert. Looks utterly derivative.

Ooh, cgi skyscrapers being knocked over, haven't seen that in every other hollywood blockbuster for the last umpteen years. More played out than "bullet time"

What is wrong with action blockbusters today, i'd rather sit up and watch trash on the scifi channel made for 50p

OK, my step-daughter wanted to see it, so I took her to see it. I hated Battle: Los Angeles but I really enjoyed Battleship. It didn't take itself too seriously, and it was all the better for it. Plus, it was really nice to see the Missouri in action - CGI'd or not (not too sure about the drop-anchor manoeuvre, though....)

I didn’t mind this film at all, and will but the DVD when available.

Regarding the ACDC tracks – these have been a staple B-Movie diet since the ‘80’s!

I think I'll wait for a DVD release rather than spend the £13 for the cinema ticket.

Does anybody want to hazard a guess, as to how a British made version of the film, with the British Royal Navy, would turn out ?

yikes our cinema tickets are £5 (£3 on a tuesday) with £10 getting vip (full leather recliners, free refills on popcorn/drinks all night and a complimentary drink in the bar before hand....)

The aliens would turn up but there would be no British Navy warship as it had been decommissioned.
