Surprised I can't find an existing thread. I watched the last episode on BBC 4 last night.

Superb doc about Brit artists breaking or failing to break the US from beatles to coldplay and everything in between from cream, sabbath, Bowie, Duran Duran, flock of seagulls, the cure, new order, etc, etc.

The BBC and BBC4, do these kind of nostalgia docs like nobody else, whether it's 1955 Le man's, or music stuff, its almost worth the licence fee for this alone.

So it's on iplayer well worth a watch if you're into music and you're a certain age.

Check out BBC2's Queens of Pop sunday 7pm, before Top Gear,as well episode 1 was really interesting, another nostalgia trip, for music fans.

Thanks.

Might take a look based on your recommendation - have seen it in the listings but not bothered watching.

I too caught some of episode 1 of Queens of British Pop last week and agree it was pretty interesting.

Watched them all. I was sure there was a thread. Really enjoyed them all. As I said the BBC (with it's archive) and production values, possibly due to the unique way it's funded, really do knock out great documentaries.

There was a good one about musicals a bit ago.
I hope they do one on actors.
