The Golf R lease thread
Discussion
I ordered through Andrew at Listers, got a fantastic deal around £6700 including Mettallic & Car net app. Originally ordered Mettallic black but have now decided to go for Night Blue
Think the night blue really suits the car. I currently have a lapis blue hatchback so looking forward to a more restrained colour.

I've sneaked in at the last minute on a boggo red estate with Car-Net App as the only option. £6353 all in over the two years.
As a comparison, my current DSG 5-dr R hatch, with metallic, rear camera, keyless & maintenance is approx £8750 over the two years, so that shows what a bargain these R estate deals were!

I gather the build week is not updated until 4 weeks before it begins.

I went through Vindis and the deal was £1,500 upfront and 23 x £232 for Lapiz paint. I'm also going for the Netconnect thingy and will either pay for that separately or add to the monthlies (I think its only another fiver).
Spent ages thinking about the colour but coming out of a metallic black 3 series I thought I'd be brave and go for a bolder colour!
Not sure how to display pics here, but this link is to a nice looking R Estate (IMHO).

I have paid part of the first payment already but not had any other paperwork or a tracking number yet.

Hello folks, I just saw one of these deals this morning on select:
https://www.selectcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/vol...
Change the mileage to 10k and it should give you a figure. I work this out at 6399 for the total term. Hope someone can make use of it!

My dealer told me yesterday finance was approved and order put in with vw however, don't have an order number until factory accepts the order?!?!?
Having the finance accepted is the confirmation that you have secured the deal offered, the rest of it is down to the dealer assigning your order to a factory build, which is the acceptance bit you refer to. Nothing to worry about. I came out of my A4 1.4 Sport lease for this Golf R deal. Had a bit of a fight getting the dealer to release my £1k holding deposit, but all sorted and managed to get in right at the last knockings with VW Lancaster Loughton. Originally emailed them and ended up getting a call from Wendy the fleet manager for Essex who sorted me out a great deal.
I did everything over the phone (can't emphasis enough how much better this is) and ended up with £960 down and 23x £235 with only the Car-Net added to the spec. I've not had the Order Number through yet...
Delivery is expected end of June.

With confirmation of VW pulling the deal any links like this will just be to brokers who haven't had a chance to take the deal down off their website yet.https://www.selectcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/vol...

Estate review....
I've also been speaking with Wendy @Jardines VW. Lovely lady. She gave me some quotes before the deal was pulled, but wasn't all signed up in time. She's speaking to some boss woman on Monday to see if they will honour the offer that was made to me. Fingers crossed.
